U.S. aircraft carrier pulls out of Middle East and heads to Indo-Pacific as biggest challenge to Chinese Communist Party

The U.S. Biden administration withdrew the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz from the Persian Gulf and entered the Indo-Pacific region on the 2nd. Earlier, the Chinese Communist Party frequently sent military aircraft to disturb Taiwan and provoke U.S. aircraft carriers, causing tension in the Taiwan Strait, and U.S. Defense Secretary Austin has said that China (China) is the biggest challenge.

U.S. Defense Department spokesman John Kirby said the Nimitz carrier strike group has sailed from the Middle East under the U.S. Central Command to the waters under the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.

Kirby said that after the previous administration strengthened the deployment of U.S. forces in the Gulf of Poland, Biden did not think it was necessary to keep the Nimitz on the ground in terms of U.S. national security.

Kirby did not say whether other carriers would be sent to replace the Nimitz in the area in the near future, but noted that the number of U.S. Navy carriers is limited.

Kirby declined to discuss the U.S. Department of Defense’s assessment of the Iranian military threat to U.S. bases and allies in the Gulf of Poland. But he said decisions such as withdrawing carriers are not taken lightly.

The withdrawal of the Nimitz means there is no aircraft carrier presence in the U.S. Central Command area of operations. And the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command has not disclosed how long the Nimitz carrier will remain in the Indo-Pacific region.

Kirby said Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin “believes the U.S. military is laid out in the Middle East strongly enough to respond to any threat.” U.S. service members are stationed in many countries in the Persian Gulf and have enough air power to counter any adversary in the region.

Kirby said, “He (Austin) sees China (the Chinese Communist Party) as the biggest challenge in this department.” Since Biden’s inauguration, the Chinese Communist Party has frequently deployed bombers and warplanes to disturb Taiwan and sent military aircraft to provoke U.S. aircraft carriers, causing tension in the Taiwan Strait.

On Jan. 22, the Communist Party of China passed the Maritime Police Law, which allows the maritime police to use force against foreign vessels in Chinese waters, sparking a backlash from regional countries, with the Philippine presidential administration saying that “international law usually prohibits countries from using force.”

After the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden, India and the United States will hold a joint military exercise called “Yudh Abhyas” at the Mahajan Field Firing in Rajasthan province from 8 to 21.

After the “war preparation” joint military exercise, India and the United States special forces will also be held in March, codenamed “Prahar” (Vajra Prahar) land warfare joint military exercises.
