The light blue problem under the long-term struggle

Dr. Shen Xuhui has a long article talking about the light blue issue, which is very in-depth and comprehensive, so we suggest you can refer to it.

Under the National Security Law, Hong Kong people’s struggle has entered a new stage. At the beginning of the anti-China movement, we all hoped that the Chinese Communist Party would keep its promise of “one country, two systems” and adjust its policy towards Hong Kong under the pressure of Hong Kong people, at least the five major demands that we raised were all within the scope of the establishment. However, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has used black police suppression and draconian laws to deal with Hong Kong people. At this point, it is no longer possible to expect the CCP to deal with the Hong Kong issue rationally.

The situation we are facing now is that the Chinese Communist Party is strong and we are weak, but the strength and weakness will be transformed. We have to fight for external support, including the sanctions imposed on the Chinese Communist Party by the United States and other Western countries, which will weaken the strength of the Chinese Communist Party and cause social unrest on the mainland, and promote the disintegration of the Chinese Communist regime. Chinese Communist Party’s authoritarian rule over Hong Kong more difficult and less socially grounded.

I have talked about the issue of Light Blue many times, but inspired by Mr. Shen Xuhui, I also have some new views.

First of all, the group of Light Blues, all of whom are admirers of universal values, have been imbued with Western Culture for a long Time and are implicitly influenced by it, and will not have an innate good feeling towards dictatorial rule. Some of their reasons for dancing to the CCP’s baton are based on personal interests, some are based on inherent social ties, and some just lack determination and courage. Universal values are the common factor between us and them.

Second, they all affirm Hong Kong values and defend Hong Kong’s local interests. They have lived in Hong Kong with their families and are well aware of the advantages that distinguish Hong Kong from the mainland. The majority of them will affirm the old system of Hong Kong and hope to maintain the “one country, two systems”, and do not want the dictatorial Chinese Communist Party to rule Hong Kong, which has been deteriorating after the handover.

Once again, the light blues generally do not agree with the national security law because it destroys the old foundation of Hong Kong, subverts the common law, and destroys the security of the light blues’ lives. They are also threatened by the NSA in the future, and their children and descendants are also brainwashed.

Once again, the Light Blues generally do not agree with violence, not with the violence of the courageous faction, and not with the violence of the police. They want everything to be handled on a rational basis, and they hope that social order will be restored in Hong Kong and that dialogue between the government and the people will resume. Today, when the Chinese Communist Party’s policy towards Hong Kong is fully violent, their hope will of course be dashed, but rational dialogue, that is what we have in common with them.

Finally, the light blue local leftists are about to be threatened by a large number of expatriate interests from the mainland, their political interests will be eroded and they will lose their position of dominating Hong Kong, so the future is not good for them and they know it.

A large number of light blues in Hong Kong’s business and professional sectors have similar commonalities as described above. They will not directly confront the CCP, but it is certain that they will not have a heartfelt embrace of the brutal dictatorship from the north.

How the democratic protesters can fight for the light blue is a big issue for the future. Under the National Security Law, large-scale street protests are no longer possible, but there is still plenty of room to engage with the government outside of the National Security Law regulation. Not to accept, not to yield, not to get used to, in short, to the Chinese Communist Party and the Hong Kong Communist Party, is the word “no”, and then, as many netizens say, with the Chinese Communist Party to fight a long Life.

In this process, how to maintain dialogue with the light blue, how to fight them to take a common position on common issues, how to emphasize and protect the values of Hong Kong for universal values, these are worthy of our in-depth thinking, looking for an effective strategy.

I very much disagree with some netizens who always think they are the “staunch democrats” and that anyone who disagrees with their radical ideas is a surrenderist, a flanker of the CCP, or even a person sent by the CCP. If even the Democratic Party and Li Zhuming are not our own people, how many of our own people are left? Not only the light yellows in the democratic camp are our own people, but also the light blues in the pro-establishment camp, they should be fought as our own people.

When Mao Zedong started the revolution, from scratch, from small to large, one of the most important principles was: “Who are our friends and who are our enemies, this is the primary question of the revolution.” When the CCP ran the revolution, anyone who was anti-Chiang was the target of united warfare, and as a result, the CCP’s power kept accumulating and growing and eventually gained power.

If we want to fight against the CCP, we have to return the favor to our own people, we have to fight for all the political power we can, not the other way around, pushing all our own people to the opposite side.

Young people should read more, think more, don’t be impulsive, don’t be radical, don’t drive away the birds for the bush, don’t drive away the fish for the abyss, isolate the CCP, don’t isolate yourself, only in this way can we persist in the long-term struggle, and can fight the CCP for a long life.
