CNN is only half alive in a week

The Gateway Pundit reports that Trump was right, and that after he left office, CNN’s ratings dropped 44 percent and MSNBC dropped 20 percent.

The Gateway Pundit says President Trump was right.

President Trump mocked the fake news media in 2018 when Trump said that when he was gone, their ratings would dry up and they would disappear.

In 2018, Trump tweeted.

“The fake news media is going crazy! In many ways, they have completely lost their minds. After witnessing the damage they have done to so many innocent and decent people. I’m happy to see that in seven years, when I’m not in office, their ratings will dry up and they’ll be gone!”

Twitter has since canceled President Trump’s account and banned several prominent Trump supporters.

Since Biden took office, CNN’s ratings have plummeted 44 percent in a week.

According to Variety (Variety) magazine:

“While CNN’s ratings records are set to fall in January 2021, the ratings for the last week of the month may provide a harbinger of the post-Trump era for the network.

In the first week of the Biden Administration, the AT&T-owned news channel saw a sharp drop in its recent influx of viewers in its Jan. 25-29 prime Time slot compared to the highs of previous weeks. Meanwhile, rival Fox News Channel also slipped slightly after recording its own significant ratings decline for several weeks.

MSNBC, another network characterized as left-leaning, also saw a significant decline, but nowhere near as severe as the hit CNN took. The Variety Intelligence platform’s analysis of ratings data for two key metrics – targeted news demographic 25-54 and total viewers tuning in – showed that CNN’s ratings for all three hours of primetime were down about 44 percent in the last week of January from the previous week.

While it is too early to draw conclusions about the long-term direction of news ratings after just one week, the decline can be interpreted as an indicator of what many industry watchers expected. With Biden in the White House, the networks that have spent the last four years bashing Trump have lost the primary appeal that energized their viewership, making it difficult to maintain high ratings levels.”

And ….. …MSNBC was down 20% in the first week after Trump.
