Medical device for men in Pasadena, California in 2020
The world-renowned independent film festival, Sundance Film Festival, is taking place online. On the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the Wuhan outbreak, the documentary film “In the Same Breath”, directed by Chinese director Wang Nan- medical and produced by HBO, premiered at the festival and attracted a lot of attention. The film chronicles the chaos caused by the Chinese Communist authorities’ concealment of the outbreak in Wuhan during the early days of the Epidemic, and the constant death of medical and funeral workers. Wang Nan medical device was also “noticed” by the authorities for making the film, and her mother in rural Jiangxi was questioned by the Communist Party’s state security last November.
The Washington Post reported that “Breathing Together” depicts the way Xi Jinping‘s administration erased speech in the early stages of the outbreak of the Communist Party virus, using a combination of repression and propaganda to dispel suspicions about the virus. While the Communist Party’s official media reported extensively last January that there was “no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission,” infected people were dying in the streets, and thousands of people were desperately trying to upload their medical information in the hope that someone would see it and provide them with care.
Later in the film, Wangnan Medical Devices states that it was only after the Communist Party held its annual New Year’s meeting, from which it reaped the greatest public relations benefits, that the government began to publicly acknowledge the risk and imposed the famous closure of Wuhan.
The trailer for “Breathing Together” uses CCTV news anchors to report that “eight rumor spreaders were legally punished” in Wuhan, interspersed with footage shot by citizen journalists, showing Wuhaners unable to say goodbye to their loved ones, and frontline medical workers and funeral directors facing constant death. His wife was left to witness the ambulance carrying away her husband’s body.
The medical doctor condemned the Chinese Communist Party for mishandling the case and concealing it, but similar scenes soon followed in the United States. The documentary interprets Anthony Fauci, an American epidemic expert, as saying in March 2020, “There is no need to wear a mask. In fact, the New York outbreak had already begun to spread, and the U.S. then became a “replica of Wuhan” – New York became an empty city, nurses were punished by hospitals for wearing masks, nurses were fired for expressing safety concerns, and the documentary ended with the first vaccines. The documentary ends with the first batch of vaccines.
With this documentary, Medical Device Wang wants to ask what has been learned from this epidemic. How can we avoid repeating the same mistakes?
According to the report, film investors are often reluctant to produce material that condemns China, and even positive China stories are rejected by executives who don’t know when they are stepping over the red line of the Communist Party’s censors and suffering losses.
There is concern that HBO, which is behind the funding and creative executive producer, and its parent company Warner Media, will be “punished” by China. An expert familiar with the Chinese entertainment industry told the Washington Post, “Look what happened to the NBA back then! Chinese platforms pulled all games from airing and couldn’t buy Rockets-related merchandise.”
The NBA Rockets general manager Murray had caused China’s displeasure because of his solidarity with Hong Kong on Twitter, causing CCTV to stop broadcasting the NBA. wangnan medical devices have not yet been officially released, the Chinese side is unknown when they will respond, but she once said that HBO, which financed the filming, had not interfered with the documentary production for commercial reasons, but the Jiangxi authorities questioned her mother.
According to the report, last November, Chinese state security officials visited Wang’s mother’s Home in rural Jiangxi and questioned her for several hours about her film-making activities. During the production of the film, each month from March to May, medical doctors were questioned by another producer based in China, who stopped work on the film shortly after.
Medical Device Wang said she felt the need to move forward, not only to tell the story of the early days of the pandemic, but also because the Chinese Communist government is now choosing to use tragedy to inspire patriotism. Under the CCP, disaster is becoming a propaganda tool.
Born in rural Jiangxi province, Wang Nanxi, 36, lost her father when she was 12 years old and dropped out of school because she could not afford the tuition.
Wang Nan’s medical device work “Rogue Yan” features sex worker advocate Ye Haiyan, who protests against the principal of Hainan Elementary School for “offering” six elementary school girls to officials.
Another film, “An Child Nation,” which attacked the CCP’s Family planning policy, was shortlisted for the 2019 Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature. But official media reports have erased all mention of the film.
