Niu Tengyu, who works as a defender for the “Vulgar Wiki” website, was sentenced to a heavy prison term after being framed by public security officials for allegedly disclosing the personal information of Xi Jinping’s daughter Xi Mingze and brother-in-law Deng Jiagui online.
The reporters contacted Xiao Yanrui, who is currently living in Japan and has been involved in founding the “Vicious Wiki” and “Chinawiki”, to tell us the truth of the incident and clarify that Niu Tengyu and other convicted persons have nothing to do with the leakage of Xi Mingze’s personal information. The police in Maoming City, Guangdong Province, are trying to win credit for the unjust case.
Xiao Yanrui stressed that the first website to publish Xi Mingze’s information is not a “vulgar wiki”, in May 2019, Xi Mingze and Deng Jiagui’s ID information has been exposed on the “Red Bank Foundation”, “Chinawiki “The information of Xi Mingze’s personal ID card and passport photos of his early years were widely spread on Twitter and other social media afterwards, including his alias as Chu Chen. But because the Guangdong Internet police were unable to extend their arrests overseas, they used Niu Tengyu and the “Vulgar Wiki” crew as scapegoats.
Xiao Yanrui said: “In 2013, another friend and I founded “Vulgar Wiki,” a website that is not very involved in politics. But then the “Chinawiki” website appeared, and there is a website called “Red Bank Foundation” in the United States. Then through the “Red Bank Foundation” people have some power in the country, by pulling the information database of citizens, found Xi Jinping’s daughter’s name, birthday, ID card, passport to go abroad, and the information of the name change, she was called Chu Chen. After she came out, she was listed on the “Red Bank Foundation” and then put on the “Chinawiki”, which has nothing to do with the “Vulgar Wiki”, but is simply arresting people indiscriminately. The “vulgar wiki” people were caught as scapegoats.
Xiao Yanrui also said, known as the computer genius Niu Tengyu in Life is very low-key and principle, but also willing to share his expertise with many young friends, I believe this makes the authorities very scare.
Xiao Yanrui revealed that in June 2019, after the outbreak of the “anti-China” march in Hong Kong, Niu Tengyu and he met in Hong Kong, after a short stay, Niu Tengyu returned to mainland China, and in August of the same year, the two met again in Japan, Niu Tengyu disappeared a week after returning to China.

Xiao Yanrui also revealed the day before yesterday that several people with lighter sentences had been released from prison and revealed that they had been subjected to inhumane torture inside, with Niu Tengyu being the most severely tortured.
Xiao Yanrui said: the few people who have come out so far have told of the situation inside, all of them have skin diseases, their bodies are rotten, some of them are so thin that their eyes are a full circle, they rarely sleep, and their eyes are dull. They revealed the situation of Niu Tengyu, saying that Niu Tengyu was initially locked up in the hotel and beaten by the state security, with the air conditioning on at 16 degrees, not allowing him to wear clothes, knocking him unconscious and then splashing him with cold water to wake him up, and the state security kicked him down and beat him to the stairwell.

He believes that this is a reflection of the deeper reasons why the authorities are scapegoating “vulgar wikis” and falsely manipulating political cases with the law.

After the arrests, some unknown people on the Internet accused Xiao Yanrui of “selling information” to the authorities, and his personal and family information was widely disseminated, causing some victims’ families to misunderstand him. Xiao Yanrui believes that these Chinese authorities are using despicable means to carry out another kind of “cyber wanted” and retaliation against him.
Xiao Yanrui said he quit the Internet a year and a half ago after being attacked by unknown people with suspected Chinese Communist backgrounds and misunderstood by some Parents. Although he is currently overseas, he feels he is still at risk and his family is under constant pressure from the authorities.
