The Gateway Pundit reported Friday (Jan. 29) that the Black Lives Matter Gui movement, which led last year’s mob riots that caused nearly $2 billion in damage, has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.
Since last May, Black Lives Matter-Antifa has caused more than $1 billion in damage in cities across the United States. In Minneapolis (MN) alone, Black Lives Matter mobs have damaged or destroyed more than 1,500 businesses or buildings. More than 700 police officers were injured during the Black Lives Matter riots last June.
The Gateway Pundit says civil society as we know it is over.
The Black Lives Matter movement, which calls for systemic change while spreading around the world, was nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize, according to a report in The Guardian. In his nomination papers, Norwegian MP Petter Eide said the Black Lives Matter movement has forced countries outside the United States to grapple with racism in their own societies.
“I find that one of the main challenges we see in the United States, Europe and Asia is the growing conflict based on inequality,” Eide said. “Black Lives Matter has become a major global movement to combat racial injustice. “
“Black Lives Matter has made great achievements in raising global awareness and consciousness about racial injustice.”
The Guardian reports that the deadline for submissions this year is Feb. 1, and the committee will prepare a list of nominees by the end of March. Winners will be selected in October, and the awards ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 10.
Last year’s most notable nomination was President Trump, who was nominated again this year by another Norwegian congressman, Christian Tybring-Gjedde.
