Wu Yuanxiu, a petitioner from Shaanxi Province in Beijing, was kidnapped twice in mid-January in the subway at Beijing South Station. Wu Yuanxiu called the police every day, and only on January 28 did the Beijing police let her see the surveillance video at the Time of the crime and said, “You are the person we are looking for.”
At around 10:00 on January 19, Wu Yuanxiu was violently abducted when she turned No. 5 to No. 1 in Beijing Dongdan subway station. In the face of Wu Yuanxiu’s complaint, the police of Beijing Dongcheng District Public Security Bureau (police number 022467) told her to go to the letter; the police of Beijing Dongcheng District Bus Subway (police number 053379) told her to go to the court to sue. They made all kinds of difficulties but did not give Wu Yuanxiu a “receipt for the case”.
Beijing police officers deny the kidnapping
Wu Yuanxiu told reporters, “On January 27, I went to the subway police station again and asked to seal the entire surveillance video. The public security planted evidence that I made a strip and spill in the subway station before forcibly taking me away.”
On January 28, after Wu Yuanxiu called the Beijing Inspector to complain, the police officer with police number 053379 told her, “You are the person we (Beijing Public Security) are looking for,” and also admitted that it was Beijing Metro Public Security that forcibly summoned and forcibly took her away. It was only after she was placed under house arrest for seven hours that she was not handed over to local interceptors after intense calls for attention from relatives and informants.
However, the Beijing police refused to admit that Wu Yuanxiu was kidnapped, saying that kidnapping was not their responsibility, but only when she was beaten and robbed.
The surveillance video provided by the police has been edited
Wu Yuanxiu strongly requested the police (police number 053379) to retrieve the whole synchronized video to restore the truth, to find out the facts and to distinguish the responsibility. The police told her: “It is impossible to retrieve the entire surveillance video.”
Finally, she was shown a small video clip that had been edited. “The editing of the simultaneous recording is suspected of perjury, is guilty of perjury. Is not it?” Wu Yuanxiu said.
From the small video clip provided by the police, Wu Yuanxiu discovered that the number of people who kidnapped her was not only three as she said earlier, but five.
Beijing police allegedly teamed up with local authorities to kidnap the visitors
Wu Yuanxiu asked the Beijing police, “What is the legal basis for forcing Wu Yuanxiu to be summoned?” The police said, “I can’t tell you.”
Wu Yuanxiu said, “All indications are that the Beijing police are suspected of breaking the law by enforcing the law and colluding with local lawbreakers to sell the visitors. Beijing Metro Public Security under the guise of law enforcement, behind the scenes doing illegal and disorderly things.”
After the case, Wu Yuanxiu’s brother, Wu Jinhu, also called Beijing 110 several times to complain, hoping to find out the results of the Dongcheng District Public Security Bureau’s handling of the case. But the answer he received was: “This is now transferred elsewhere to deal with, transferred there I do not know.” The police also asked Wu Jinhu: “Who are you? How do you know you are her brother? I have no way to verify your identity now, I can’t give you any information.”
