NATO member Lithuania on Friday (29) banned three international airports from using airport security equipment from China’s largest security equipment manufacturer Nuctech on the grounds of national security concerns.

Rasa Jakilaitiene, a spokesman for Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte, said the parliamentary committee believes that China’s Nuctech equipment is not in the interest of national security, but said the relevant information is confidential and cannot provide more details.
