2 police officers who dealt with the riots in the U.S. Congress killed themselves afterwards

The U.S. Congress continues to investigate the riots that rocked the world on June 6. In addition to the casualties caused by the riots themselves, two other police officers who were on duty at the Time committed suicide.

CNN reports that Acting Capitol Police Superintendent Robert Contee reported to the House Appropriations Committee on Wednesday local time that a Capitol Police officer and Capitol Police officer took their own lives after the riot, and that “unfortunately, two officers who were on the scene at the time ended their lives following the riot.”

Acting Capitol Police Chief Superintendent Yolanda Pittman (Yolanda Pittman) yesterday admitted to Congress negligence, including inconsistent intelligence, inadequate preparation and poor mobilization of relevant agencies, “I would like to express only my sincerest apologies on behalf of the police department for failing to live up to its own and Congress’ highest standards.”
