The tweeted Chuan Fan pillow brother: from addict to millionaire

Mike Lindell, an American entrepreneur and founder of MyPillow, has had his account permanently blocked by Twitter Inc. Lindell is pictured at one of President Trump‘s rallies last year.

On Tuesday (Jan. 26), the Twitter account of Mike Lindell, a prominent Trump supporter, entrepreneur and CEO of MyPillow, was blocked by the social media outlet in what was seen as the latest example of Twitter’s censorship of speech and regulation of freedom of expression. The latest case of censorship and freedom of expression.

Lindell told the media that he is now facing sanctions not only from high-tech companies, but also from the U.S. business community. Major retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s have banned the sale of “My Pillow” brand products.

Lindell has called on American patriots to fight back against the leftist “Culture of cancellation” that is currently prevalent in our society. As he has done for more than a decade as a television star, Lindell has always spoken in the media about his legendary journey to the “American Dream” and used his story to inspire those who are at a low point in their lives, or even in the throes of addiction.

Lindell wrote a book called “What are the odds? From Crack Addict to CEO” (What are the odds? From Crack Addict to CEO〉, which describes his amazing Life experience.

Lindell was born in Chaska, Minnesota, where his Parents divorced when he was a child. He started working in a grocery store and was fired by the owner. The grocery store owner once said to him, “Mike, if you don’t like it here, you can start your own company later.”

Lindell always took this remark to heart, and after that he began to venture into the world, trying to make a career, but all ended in failure. He opened a carpet cleaning business, went to California to drive a Food truck, and worked in a casino where he was thrown out the front door by the casino owner. Then he took a job as a bartender and eventually bought out the bar.

“But at the Time that probably wasn’t a good idea, because I was addicted to drugs by that time, a pretty serious cocaine addict.” Lindell has spoken about this experience of his in many media outlets as well as on talk shows.

Feeling the power of God

One night in 2004, Lindell had a dream where he dreamed of a comfortable pillow. He had suffered from insomnia since he was a teenager and once spent $70 on a pillow when he was 16 years old.

At two or three o’clock that morning, Lindell woke up from that pillow dream, he got up from bed, grabbed a pen and paper and began to design his “pillow company” idea, and then he came up with something to draw the wall full of house. At that moment it happened that one of his daughters came up from downstairs looking for water, Lindell asked his daughter: “I have a business idea to do pillows, the name is ‘my pillow’, what do you think?”

Her daughter replied, “That’s a random-sounding name.” And off she went downstairs.

And so the “My Pillow” brand was born. Lindell says it was an idea given to him by God.

Later, with the help of his Family and friends, Lindell began to learn to sew, make and sell pillows, and the business process has experienced many ups and downs and miraculous things.

But the business is no longer busy also did not let Lindell quit drug addiction, his craving for cocaine more and more serious, all night long to use drugs, simply can not sleep. So much so, that eventually the dealers who sold him drugs stopped selling him drugs, in order for him to get some sleep. His life went to a dark period, Lindell lost his family, house, just up a small pillow business is also in jeopardy.

One day the drug dealer said to Lindell, “Bring your phone over here, I’ll take a picture of you, you might need this picture for your book.”

It was 2008. The photo showed Lindell described as drained and depressed. When his book was published later, Lindell used this photo for the cover of his new book.

Ten months later, on Jan. 16, 2009, Lindell said a serious prayer before going to bed. He said, “God, I want to wake up in the morning without that craving (for drugs).”

The next morning, a miracle occurred: he did forget about the drugs. “Wow!” As he realized that his years of addiction were gone and his mind was completely clear, he felt that his life was about to be turned around and that God might allow him to do something bigger.

Since then, Lindell’s business has gone from strength to strength, with employees growing from five at the time to 500 by the end of the year, all the way up to 2,500 today; products expanding from a single pillow to more than a hundred types of bedding; and annual turnover increasing from $100,000 in 2009 to $300 million in 2019.

MyPillow now has more than one hundred types of bedding.

Meanwhile, Lindell hasn’t forgotten about addicts who have taken the same detour as he did. He set up a foundation dedicated to helping these people like him turn over a new leaf. Since 2016, Lindell has been a strong supporter of President Trump, participating in his campaign and investing in conservatives, and has been invited to the White House by President Trump as a representative of “Made in America.

On January 15 of this year, Lindell again entered the White House to advise the president.

In an interview with the Minnesota’s Star Trubune about the current crackdown on him by Twitter Inc. and retailers, Lindell said it won’t change anything for him.

“My support for Trump has never changed since the time I met him and it never, ever will.” Lindell said.

As for the business encounter, he said he sells direct when the middleman doesn’t want the goods. “Real people don’t care, and pillows aren’t politics.”

There are currently rumors that Lindell is going to run for the governorship of Minnesota, and Trump has all but encouraged him at rallies. In response, Lindell told the media, “There’s a long time until 2022.”
