The forced demolition of the Jiuhua Agricultural Science Demonstration Park in Xiaotangshan, Beijing, which lasted more than two months, is now entering its end. Under the demolition by the men in black, the plot has been completely destroyed. The owner, Li Qiang, and his mother have to sleep on the street in front of the local town hall in the cold winter because they have no Home to return to.
Jiuhua Agricultural Science Demonstration Park is a residential community located in Xiaotangshan Town, Changping District, Beijing. On November 17 last year, hundreds of black-clad men hired by Wang Hongmin, secretary of the Communist Party of China’s Xiaotangshan Township, forced their way into the neighborhood and began a forced demolition. Since then, the neighborhood has been cut off from natural gas, water and electricity, and residents have had to cut wood for heat. Although the residents of the district had resisted by various means, they were powerless to stop the black-clad men from advancing step by step. As one by one, the homes were demolished by the excavators driven by the men in black, and the number of people left in the neighborhood continued to decline. The company’s main business is to provide a wide range of products and services to the public.
Mr. Zheng, a resident of the district, told reporters that at present, the buildings in the district have been completely destroyed. Since mid-January, a homeowner named Li Qiang and his mother went to sleep in front of the town hall because they had no home to return to. On January 18, a homeowner sent a text message to Wang Hongmin, the secretary of Xiaotangshan town who hired the man in black, saying that Li Qiang’s mother and son were “sleeping on the street, homeless, and had no choice but to ask for help (at) the entrance of the town government, and it was freezing cold”, and hoping that Wang Hongmin “On January 18 and 19, some owners called the Beijing “mayor’s hotline” 12345 to reflect the encounter of Li Qiang’s mother and son. The following is the content of the call on January 19.
“The owner: I also reflected to you yesterday about this Time about the entrance of Xiaotangshan town government, there are Li Qiang mother and son sleeping on the street there. Until now, this matter is still not resolved. Last night the side of the snow, they are in the snow inside, in the winter inside more than ten degrees below zero sleeping in the streets, in front of the town government …… government officials to take off this body official clothes, as the people, can not treat the people so, the municipal government can not sit idly by. Town level local grassroots government, so go to treat their own people, is too much.
“‘Mayor’s hotline’ operator: Ma’am, that way I’ll expedite to contact.”
Although the mayor’s hotline promised to “expedite contact,” until Jan. 26, Li Qiang’s mother and son were still living on the street in front of the Xiaotangshan town hall, and Li Qiang’s mother was feeling unwell. They still haven’t received any help from the government.
Beijing entrepreneur Luo Mingzhu, who was previously interviewed by the station and now lives in the United States, is also an owner of a property in the neighborhood. She told the reporter that she would use her advantage of being in the United States to find a way to use the law as a weapon to sue the party officials of Xiaotangshan Town and its neighboring town, Xingshou Town, through the U.S. courts for directing this demolition campaign. She also said that her house was demolished by an excavator about a week ago and was one of the last few buildings in the neighborhood to be demolished. The demolition by the men in black was accompanied by looting. She said, “My home, which I had spent more than a decade of hard work and care to build, was finally demolished last week by dozens of black-clad men sent by the Xiaotangshan town government, who broke down the door and drove in the excavator to raze my house. While they were demolishing the house, they were looting supplies. They are a bunch of robbers.”
