Pseudo-environmentalism may be a hotbed of war

On Jan. 20, Biden signed 15 executive orders and two executive actions on his first day in office. One of them is the Executive Order on Protecting Public Healthand the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis. The Executive Order on Protecting Public health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis”, as commented in “Biden’s punch to Trudeau’s face, I wonder if it hurts”.

In Section 6 of the executive order (Sec. 6), Biden calls for a suspension of the construction of an oil pipeline between the United States and Canada. This oil pipeline is used to transport Crude Oil from Canada to the U.S. state of Nebraska and is called the Keystone XL pipeline.

Would Americans use less crude oil without this oil pipeline? Of course not, they would have to spend more money to ship oil back from further away, causing more energy waste and environmental pollution instead. The preliminary work to build the pipeline, the financial and material resources and manpower already paid, will also all go down the drain.

Biden can be like Europe, tighten the car emissions standards, the effect will also be better than shouting to stop the pipeline. But then many people’s interests would be compromised, and even those who voted for him would oppose such a policy, and then oppose him.

“Climate change” is the political correctness of the left. In particular, Keystone XL is “original sin” with the Democrats, because it was built during Trump‘s term. Also, Keystone XL has small benefits, as the pipeline runs through Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska, which are all red states. For Biden, it doesn’t matter, these states won’t vote for him anyway, and at best, Nebraska will get one electoral vote. (This state is not a winner-take-all state)

If this “achievement” does not damage their own fundamentals, it is even better; if this “achievement” is already the focus of attention, it is better. If this “achievement” is the focus of attention, there is exposure effect, that is the best “achievement”. Although this “achievement” in fact caused more waste, but it does not matter.

Biden’s call to stop the oil pipeline has resulted in even more waste. If you don’t use the most cost-effective pipeline to transport it now, you’ll have to use other modes of transportation to transport it later. If you don’t buy Canadian, then you’ll have to buy Middle Eastern and Mexican. Because, the demand is there. Although the United States has achieved energy self-sufficiency in the Trump era, but the high cost of shale oil extraction, many shale oil companies have gone bankrupt and shut down, the future of energy, or a problem, or to increase the stability and diversity of energy imports.

Rely on new energy? This is not reliable, photovoltaic industry is useful? What demand can wind power meet? Where does the electricity for electric cars come from? What about batteries? Unless controlled fusion technology becomes commercially available, a heavy attack on fossil energy will only result in more waste and pollution. Isn’t it good to improve combustion efficiency?

Even Senate Minority Leader and Republican Senator Mitch McConnell, one of the traitors who betrayed Trump on the proverbial doorstep, spoke on the Senate floor on the 21st and also denounced the multiple executive actions taken by Biden on his first day in office, including revoking key permits for the Keystone XL pipeline, rejoining the Paris climate agreement and removing Trump’s appointment as general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board. According to McConnell, “The Biden Administration took several big steps in the wrong direction on its first day in office.” McConnell then added, “It’s still early, and President Biden has had plenty of Time to remember that he doesn’t owe his election to the far left.” McConnell said, “The president can and should refocus his administration on creating high-income American jobs, not sacrificing the livelihoods of our people to symbolize liberalism.” (Subtitle “Senate Minority Leader McConnell: Biden ‘Took a Few Big Steps in the Wrong Direction'” NetNews, Shallow History 2021-01-24 10:22)

Politics is sometimes funny, sometimes it’s just politically correct for the sake of being politically correct, and sometimes it’s even just opposing for the sake of opposing. Biden’s withdrawal of the Keystone XL pipeline is one such absurdity.

Humanity shares one planet, and with the baton of demand, where A cannot produce, B is bound to produce; where C cannot produce, D is bound to produce. Moreover, the crowding out of energy production to backward countries instead often leads to greater earth pollution, lower extraction rates and higher energy consumption due to ineffective environmental protection measures.

Therefore, many so-called environmental measures are simply the paranoia of extreme environmentalists, and the trick of some politicians to deceive people.

What you really need to do to save energy and reduce emissions is to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency of use, such as raising emission standards, improving combustion efficiency, encouraging car sharing, encouraging high-density large urbanization, etc.

During the New coronavirus outbreak, it may have been “politically incorrect” to say that encouraging high-density urbanization may have made it more difficult to prevent the Epidemic because many people assumed that the high population density of large cities would make it more difficult. In fact, the physical density of a city’s population and the social density of epidemic preparedness are two completely different concepts. The isolation distance of epidemic prevention is mainly to reduce social density and socialization. Instead, the high population density of cities is more advantageous than cities and villages with low population density in various aspects such as material supply, medical supply, isolation of specific subjects, and timely treatment.

But I don’t want to stop at the so-called “warming” and “environmental protection”, I want to look through Trump’s back to see what he has done in the past four years in the cause of environmental protection, climate and human peace.

FY-MS “Looking at the graphs|Trump’s starting line for Biden” (Stranger on America 2021.1.24) gives us good data and graphs, including

Before the epidemic, the unemployment rate in the US reached its lowest point in half a century; but the figure shot upward, at one point as high as 14%, due to the epidemic. But it has now fallen back to about 7.2%, the same level as the middle of Obama’s second term.

The pace of poverty removal in the U.S. accelerated after 2018 compared to the Obama years (the statistic is only available through 2019).

Average hourly wages continue the increases seen under the Obama administration; average hourly wages for all private sector workers instead receive a significant increase in the new crown year of 2020, as many people block out of the Home and the labor market is oversupplied.

It is on top of the above economic fundamentals that there is the following performance in energy and environment.

The increase in the availability and use of natural gas brought about by the revolution in shale oil extraction technology has allowed the United States to achieve energy independence for the first time in the Trump Administration. This has been accompanied by significant closures of coal industry plants; and the development and use of renewable energy has maintained a similar upward trend since the Obama years.

The Trump administration phase maintained the changing trend of reducing traditional coal energy and increasing renewable energy under Obama.

After 2018, the U.S. air pollution index shows further improvement than in the previous six years.

In terms of CO2 emission reductions, the Trump administration has achieved little difference from the Obama period.

In 2017, total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions reached their lowest value in the past 24 years; in 2018 they increased to 2015 levels, but remained in the lowest range of the past decades.

Trump has reduced overseas troop presence and is the only president in the past few terms who has not started a new war during his presidency.

In contrast, the Trump administration has maintained military spending at similar levels as the last three years of the Obama years, all lower than in 2013 and the five years prior.

In-service military deaths (overseas and non-overseas operations), which is feared to be an unexpected benefit of the new crown epidemic, have brought down in-service military deaths by about two-thirds significantly.

Trump’s four-year tenure has offended almost all of the system’s top brass, and during his re-election campaign, he was in a near full-blown rebellious situation.

But even so, even Vice President Mike Pence, who betrayed Trump at the most critical moment in Congress on Jan. 6, said in a later speech that it was Trump who revived the military! The Trump administration is the first U.S. administration in decades that has not started a war!

Trump’s loyal comrades Pepsio is not afraid of the outside world’s opposition, and has sent several tweets in support of Trump, saying that he should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his success in promoting Arab-Israeli peace and defeating the Islamic State during his tenure.

I would like to ask: Trump to promote peace in the Middle East, made several presidents have not done, is it by personal charisma, relying on the negotiation? I think, in addition to military high-tech decapitation, I am afraid that more important is the U.S. energy independence and alternative, free from dependence on Middle East oil, resulting in a global oil price plunge, oil for Life terrorism and evil government like a deflated ball.

According to the basic principles of economics, the more barbaric a country is, the more it depends on tangible material resources for survival. Once it is taken out of the oil economy, it can no longer be wild.

6

As we can see from the relationship between energy and peace, Trump’s unleashing of the potential of domestic energy production has greatly combated rogue governments and evil forces internationally and promoted peace in the Middle East and the world without increasing domestic energy consumption and pollution. It has also increased domestic employment.

But all this has the potential to greatly move the cheese of the US military industrial complex! Resulting in the interests of launching a puppet Biden, who overturned many of Trump’s policies on his first day in office.

So, behind the warm and fuzzy and noble environmentalism, there is the possibility that the devil of war is gorging on human blood buns with gusto!

WikiLeaks Assange says that all wars for 50 years have been created by governments using media propaganda. Propaganda means taking a population that doesn’t like war and fooling them into it! Our primary enemy is ignorance. Shinran!

War is the death of people, is the cost of countless people’s money, such an important matter of human life, politicians still want to make money on the corpses of soldiers, other aspects of decision-making, I’m afraid only more “arbitrary”: for the sake of GDP to engage in the completion of the corrupt excess investment, the city repeatedly replace public facilities, the forestry department repeatedly Even the new U.S. crown relief bill are mostly taken to “foreign aid”, to increase their own lawmakers 80 times more than the people’s subsidies for salary increase plan ……

So, when someone asked me in the past two days.

Mr. Tong: under the influence of the new crown epidemic, the world’s major economies are now adopting fiscal stimulus policies, that is, to start printing money to release large amounts of water, coupled with China’s M2 last year also reached a new high of 10.1% in recent years. Under the dual influence of domestic and foreign money printing and water release, domestic Food prices and bulk raw material prices have recently risen relatively sharply, and price Inflation has arrived unexpectedly. In this case, I am thinking that if the country can take a more tolerant attitude towards real estate in large cities in China, such as: the local government to develop a set of relatively scientific and reasonable population settlement policy and restrictions on purchase and loans and even restrictions on sales policy, as for the price of housing just let nature take its course, there will be no such new housing and surrounding second-hand housing price inversion. The real estate in these big cities can absorb a lot of money, thus reducing some inflationary pressure? It is always much less than the monetized shanty price increase to inventory side effects, right?

Here’s my answer.

First of all, you should not be obsessed with trying to think for the decision makers, who are all the same today and tomorrow, they are also human beings, and our usual schooling, investment and work decisions.

Secondly, no matter which country or region, China or the United States, the government and even the decision makers behind it have their own independent interests and even private interests, and also have their own concepts and knowledge limitations.

Because of these limitations of decision making, as well as the iterative nature of decision making itself, our personal investment should especially avoid all kinds of decision traps as much as possible, by paying extra attention to the long-term variable of urbanization law which cannot be changed by decision making.

This is what I have been emphasizing for more than a decade: “Trust the law, not the plan, and trust the market, not the mayor”.

I think you repeatedly think about decision-making, think too much, and don’t waste too much life on things you can’t influence.
