A WHO adviser who served as an official under Joe Biden said in a media interview that there is growing evidence that the Chinese Communist virus most likely came from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

The WHO adviser, Jamie Metzl, said in an interview with the Toronto Sun, a Canadian media outlet, that the source of the COVID-19 virus is in the Wuhan laboratory and that the Chinese government should come forward and say so.

Metz is a native of Kansas City, MO, and currently lives in New York City. He served as deputy director of the Council on Foreign Relations under then-Senator Joe Biden from 2001 to 2003; worked at the State Department and the National Security Council in the then-Clinton administration before that; and served on the World health Organization’s expert advisory committee on “human gene editing” in 2019. committee of the World Health Organization in 2019.

“There’s no irrefutable evidence.” But there’s more and more evidence coming out (that) the likelihood of a leak from a lab accident has increased,” Metz said.

Metz said it was a “lie” that the Chinese government initially told the world that the virus was spread from a seafood market.

“It’s a lie. The Chinese Communist government has known for a long Time that it was a lie.” So last May, in the face of overwhelming evidence, the Communist government changed its story,” he said.

Metz went on to say that while it sounds like the plot of a Science Fiction novel, “what is happening is science. There is a field of research called ‘gain of function’ research, which has been controversial because scientists have amplified the activity of the virus. We know that the Wuhan Virus Institute has done gain of function studies of coronaviruses in bats.”

Metz also said that because it happened in China, the world still doesn’t know the source of the virus; if it had been any other country, “the world would have gone crazy” if they had prevented the World Health Organization from investigating the outbreak in the early stages.

According to Metz, the Biden Administration would be “tougher” on China than Trump, but that would be achieved not by “alienating U.S. partners and allies,” but by “principles,” “partnerships,” “alliances” and “accountability.
