Sidney Powell, a prominent lawyer who has launched lawsuits against election fraud, issued a statement on Saturday, January 23, announcing the creation of the Super Political Action Committee (Super PAC) to restore the Republic. “The group will work to defend the rights of all people, including freedom of speech and freedom of expression. The group will work to defend the “sacred rights” of free speech, constitutional rights, and free and fair elections.
It is an independent expenditure-only political action committee that can accept unlimited contributions and make unlimited political expenditures, but cannot be directly involved in campaign or candidate coordination efforts.
A Jan. 22 filing with the Federal Election Commission shows Powell as the organization’s record keeper and Jesse Binnall, a former Trump campaign lawyer, as treasurer.
Powell said they formed the group because Americans are “hungry for the truth and a return to the rule of law and a return to fair accountability” and because people are tired of government corruption and “political elites who see themselves as superior.
“It’s up to the American people to raise their voices and reject the political parties’ use of power for personal gain, the tech giants’ digital totalitarianism and the fake news media’s manipulation of news to control public opinion,” she said.
Powell vowed to speak out for honesty, integrity and “a government that is truly of the people. “Our organization will work to support candidates who uphold the sacred rights of the Constitution, constitutional rights, freedom of speech, fair elections and more,” she said.
“The committee will work with candidates who are fighting for truth and the rule of law, and we will fight tooth and nail against any candidate – regardless of her party affiliation – who throws away the Constitution for her own personal gain,” Powell said.
Powell is known for filing multiple lawsuits challenging election fraud after the November election, which alleged fraud and other irregularities.
On the eve of President Biden‘s inauguration, Powell withdrew her lawsuit in the U.S. Supreme Court – challenging the results of the Georgia election. The district court had previously dismissed the case for “lack of standing” and “filing too late,” so Powell and other lawyers in the case appealed to the high court.
