As U.S. President Donald Trump is about to leave office, mainland Chinese actress Yuan Li tweeted in support of Trump and her account was immediately blocked.

The company’s main goal is to provide a platform for the development of a new generation of people who are interested in the future. If you have a daughter, do you want her to marry a drug-addicted son like Joe Biden? Using common sense, it’s much easier to pick a president than a significant other, because no Marriage comes once every four years.”

The account was then blocked after the tweet was posted and deemed to be in support of Trump. It caused a hot debate among netizens.

It is reported that Yuan Li and her husband Liang Taiping both made public statements in support of Trump during the U.S. election.

The incident occurred on January 6 when the U.S. Congress shocked, Twitter and Facebook completely blocked Trump’s speech and related content. The incident caused a firestorm on the Internet.

In an editorial, mainland media said that Trump “lost his right to speak as an ordinary American citizen,” which “certainly violates the principle of freedom of speech usually advocated by the American political elite.”

The permanent blocking of the outgoing president by Twitter sparked an uproar in the market and a heated debate over the role of technology companies in regulating speech.

Social media censorship also drew more backlash, with Twitter shares plunging 12 percent on Jan. 11, wiping $5 billion off its market value, as investors appeared unhappy with the social media’s decision to ban President Trump from posting.

The always outspoken Yuan Li has been frequently blocked by the Chinese Communist Party and discredited by 50 cents because she often speaks out on Weibo about the underprivileged and social issues, with some saying, “Attacking Yuan Li has become the job of many people.”

Last March, Yuan Li’s Weibo was officially banned after she repeatedly spoke out over a suspected Epidemic. Her personal Weibo account was prompted, “Your account will be permanently blocked because the content you recently posted violates relevant laws and regulations.” Currently, the most recent content on Yuan Li’s Weibo account was published on March 5, 2020.
