Joe Biden redecorates White House Oval Office

The Jan. 20 edition of “Not Coming to Bart’s News” reported that Joe Biden changed the décor of the Oval Office immediately after former President Donald Trump left on Wednesday. The large portrait of populist former President Andrew Jackson that Trump hung in the Oval Office was replaced by Biden with a portrait of Founding Father Benjamin Franklin. Biden also placed a bust of Cesar Chavez (Cesar Chavez) behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office of the White House.

Cesar Chavez is a socialist, labor leader, community organizer, businessman and Latin American civil rights activist. Former President Barack Obama dedicated a memorial to him in 2012.

Ashley Williams, deputy director of Oval Office operations, told The Washington Post, “It was very important for President Biden to walk into an Oval Office that looked American and that showcased him in his presidency.”

The new layout of the Oval Office also includes, on either side of the fireplace, busts of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy.

Busts of black civil rights activist Rosa Parks and former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt are also on display in the office of the president of the United States.

Former President Barack Obama (Barack Obama) controversially removed the bust of Winston Churchill (Winston Churchill), after Trump took office, Churchill’s statue was put out again. This Time Biden took office, and Churchill’s bust has now been removed. Both Trump and Biden have kept the bust of Martin Luther King Jr. that Obama placed in the Oval Office.

Biden is a recognized fan of the Broadway musical Hamilton, so also placed portraits of founding fathers Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson in the Oval Office.

Biden also removed the flags of different branches of the U.S. military in favor of flying only the U.S. flag and flags with the presidential seal.
