The former assistant general manager of Wuhan Iron and Steel Group, Ji Zhaodong, who has been retired for six years, fell from the horse. Ji Zhaodong is the former Wuhan Municipal Party Secretary Ma Guoqiang in the role of Baosteel Prime Minister by the Time the big secretaries. The company’s main business is the construction of the Wuhan Iron and Steel Group (Group) Company, the Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Construction Co. From August 2006 to September 2014, he served as director of the office of Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Company, assistant to general manager and director of the office, and retired in December 2014.
It is worth mentioning that Ji Zhaodong was the former Secretary of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee Ma Guoqiang’s first secretary when he served as General Manager of Wuhan Iron and Steel. Ma Guoqiang served as General Manager of Wuhan Iron and Steel from July 2013 to June 2015; during that period, Ji Zhaodong served as Assistant General Manager and Chief of Staff.
Ma Guoqiang, 57, joined Shanghai Baosteel Group in 1995 and served as deputy director of Baosteel’s capital department, deputy director and director of the accounting and finance department, and deputy general manager of Baosteel Group Corporation in March 2001. In April 2009, he became a director and general manager of the Board of Directors of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co. In July 2013, he became general manager of Wuhan Iron & Steel, and in June 2015, he became chairman and secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan Iron & Steel (Group), and in October 2016, he became chairman and secretary of the Party Committee of the newly established China Baowu Iron & Steel Group Co.
On March 26, 2018, Ma replaced Chen Xinxin, who was promoted to Secretary-General of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, as Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee; on July 20 of the same year, he also became Secretary of the CPC Wuhan Municipal Committee.
In early 2020, the Wuhan pneumonia Epidemic broke out in Wuhan, and on January 6, Ma Guoqiang, then deputy secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Committee, resigned from his post as director of the Wuhan Municipal People’s Congress. He has since also been criticized by netizens for his ineffective prevention of the epidemic during the Wuhan pneumonia incident, among other issues. After the outbreak, Ma Guoqiang, who is the secretary of the municipal party committee, did not attend his first press conference to answer reporters’ questions until Jan. 28.
On February 13, 2020, it was announced that Jiang Chaoliang would no longer serve as secretary, standing committee member and member of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee; Ma Guoqiang would no longer serve as deputy secretary, standing committee member and secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Party Committee.
After Jiang Chaoliang and Ma Guoqiang left their posts in disgrace, speculation was aroused. However, in late October last year, the Fifth Plenary Session of the Communist Party of China was held. The CCTV news broadcast reported that Jiang Chaoliang attended the Fifth Plenary Session as a member of the Central Committee, while Ma Guoqiang, currently an alternate member of the 19th Central Committee, has remained a mystery.
Sources familiar with the political situation in Zhongnanhai exclusively disclosed to Yanming Times that Baosteel is the money bag of the Shanghai gang and Jiang Zemin’s Family, and Ma Guoqiang has served in Baosteel for a long time, successively as deputy minister of the accounting and finance department, minister, deputy general manager, chief accountant and general manager; in 2013, he served as general manager of Wuhan Iron and Steel, and then as chairman and party secretary of the newly established China Baowu Iron and Steel Group Co.
