Fei Gao Yun, vice governor of Jiangsu Province, had been held accountable in 2019 for a major explosion at the Tianjiayi Chemical Plant in Ringshui, Jiangsu. However, yesterday (Jan. 18), Fei Gao Yun was promoted to the Standing Committee of the provincial party committee.
According to the official website of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Organization Department, the CPC Central Committee approved the appointment of Fei Gao Yun, deputy governor, to the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee.
Fei Gao Yun, 49, a native of Huai’an, Jiangsu Province, was the deputy secretary and secretary of the Ganjiang County Shiqiao Township Committee; in July 2011, he was transferred from Yizheng City (county-level city), Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, to the Standing Committee of the Nantong Municipal Committee and secretary of the Tongzhou District Committee; in less than 2 years, he was transferred to the Minister of the Organization Department of the Municipal Committee and then crossed the city as deputy secretary of the Changzhou Municipal Committee; in January 2014, Fei Gao Yun was appointed mayor of Changzhou City; in February 2017, he was promoted to secretary of the Changzhou Municipal Committee, the first “post-70” secretary of a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu.
In January 2018, Fei Gao Yun was transferred to the vice governor of Jiangsu Province, responsible for natural resources, housing and urban-rural construction, transportation, railroads, human defense, forestry, in charge of the provincial Department of Natural Resources, the provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction, the provincial Department of Transportation (provincial railroad office), the provincial Office of People’s Air Defense, the provincial Forestry Bureau.
On March 21, 2019, a large explosion occurred at Jiangsu Tianjiayi Chemical Co., Ltd. in Ringshui County, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, which killed at least 78 people and injured more than 700.
The then Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor Fan Jinlong and Vice Governor Fei Gao Yun were both held accountable, with Fan Jinlong being warned within the party and Fei Gao Yun being given a political demerit.2020 On November 30, the first trial of the accident resulted in the sentencing of 53 defendants, including the former general manager of the company involved, to prison terms ranging from nine months to 20 years, involving seven companies and testing agencies. At the time, netizens have said that the sentences were too light.
However, was accountable for just over a year, Fei Gao Yun official position not reduced but rose, January 18, 2021 as a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee; at the age of 49, became the youngest provincial Standing Committee of Jiangsu Province.
