The second daughter of Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei, Annabel Yao, launched her first single “Back Fire” music video. The singer and dancer was bombarded by netizens: “Take the money to open all the doors.”

According to the mainland media “Yicai.com” report, 23-year-old Yao Anna, with the title of “Huawei Second Princess”, signed a contract with “Beijing Tianhao Shengshi Entertainment Culture Co. Ltd. and announced her debut with a 17-minute documentary. The next day, a new model of WEY SUV, a brand of Great Wall Motors, was announced to be endorsed by Anna Yao, and on January 18, Anna Yao released her first music piece “Back Fire”.

After watching Yao Anna’s first music video, netizens left comments on Weibo: “How much did it cost to write the first few lines? The level of spending 100 RMB are stronger, right?” “This sister began those few sentences of the big white voice, really listen to my scalp.” “After listening to Yao Anna Annabel’s new song, the auditory stimulation is as scary as watching the movie Annabel (Hong Kong translation: Creepy Baby Annabel)!”

The video link to her music video was posted on Weibo on the 18th, and she wrote: “Back Fire”, my first music work in my life, was officially released today. As a newcomer, I know that I still have a lot to learn, and everyone’s encouragement and criticism are the nutrients that help me grow better, I will continue to settle myself and present better works.”

It is reported that “Tianhao Shengshi” has set the image of “broken princess” for Yao Anna. According to the media, there is almost no precedent in the entertainment industry for a person who has no public profile to make a high-profile debut without training, padding or any works, and almost overnight, she signs up with companies, shoots blockbusters, gets commercial endorsements, launches music works, and even has her fan support group, studio, and super talkers all in place. From the team behind Yao Anna, photographers, recording artists and costumes, etc., are also in line with the configuration of a first-tier star.

Gong Yan, vice president of Beijing Fuxing Media and senior agent, wrote an article commenting that neither Yao Anna’s documentary, her first cover shoot, nor the talent she showed was enough to convince the crowd. She bluntly pointed out that, “Carrying only the name of ‘rich girl’ to debut without any other addition, she is destined to be on the opposite side of the audience already.”

Writer Ye San does not think much of Yao Anna’s debut: “The face is not very good, grunting, holding a belly of grievances, do not want to see more. How can an artist be popular when people don’t want to see more?”

Born in 1998, Anna Yao, the daughter of Ren Zhengfei and his second wife Yao Ling, graduated from Harvard University, which received a huge donation from the Chinese Communist Party, with a degree in computer science and statistics. According to Voice of America, the U.S. Department of Education briefed the House Oversight and Reform Committee in May 2020 that it was “concerned about the university’s reliance on funding from rival countries and the inherent risk to national security.”

Shortly after Anna Yao’s first high-profile appearance at a Paris celebrity ball, Meng Wanzhou, Ren’s eldest daughter, was arrested in Canada. In an interview with domestic media at the time, Ren responded to why he supported his youngest daughter’s participation in the Paris Celebrity Ball by saying, “Because I was so sorry for being with my child too little when she was young, I was willing to support my daughter and let her take control of her own destiny.”

Netizens mocked Yao Anna for being the daughter of a rich family in order to make her debut easily: “She can get money to smash all the doors open for her.”
