Economist Nouriel Roubini, known as “Dr. Doom,” fears that President-elect Joe Biden’s term will be uneventful, with riots and cyberattacks likely to be common.

In an interview with Der Spiegel, Roubini said that the United States will see more armed riots, especially by white nationalists, and that Russia and the Chinese Communist Party will launch more cyberattacks and spread false information about the United States, Bloomberg reports. Robini is a professor of economics at New York University’s Stern School of Business and has served as an advisor to the U.S. government.

Robini also called for stricter government controls on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, which have become too powerful and difficult to control. He argued that the anti-Twitter regulations are designed to deal with traditional monopolies, while social media players are very different in nature and must be controlled in a different way without splitting up.
