During the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, a magician said he could tell in advance what people would eat. All the officials of the court vied with each other to ask him to make predictions for them, but only the great doctor Li Quyun did not believe him.
So Lee Sul-geun went to summon the magician and asked him, “Look at what meal I will have tomorrow.” The magician thought for a long time before saying, “You will eat two plates of sticky cakes and twenty bowls of orange peel soup.” Li Quyun smiled and had the cook prepare the meal and invited the ministers of the court to be his guests the next day.
The next day at dawn, the emperor had an edict for Li Quyun to enter the palace. After entering the palace, he made a pilgrimage to see the emperor, who said to him, “Today, Jingzhao Yin just brought in new glutinous rice, and the imperial chef made some sticky cakes with it, so go ahead and taste it.” After waiting for a long time, the waiter with a gold plate served sticky cake, Dr. Li thanked and began to eat, facing the emperor had to eat reluctantly. When the emperor saw that he had eaten it all, he was very happy and said, “Seeing that you are eating beautifully, I will give you another plate.” Li Quyun ate up the plate of sticky cake again.
After he finished eating and went back to his house, his abdomen hurt so much that he couldn’t eat anything and only drank orange peel soup. Suddenly he remembered the words of the magician and asked those who were serving him, “How much orange peel soup have I drunk?” The answer was, “Twenty bowls.”
The doctor sighed for a long time, and ordered the magician to come to his house quickly, treating him well and giving him a lot of money.

Xiao Hua
Although Xiao Hua had fallen into the ranks of the thieves and rebelled against the court, Li Ju once recommended him to the court as an official. Later, when Li Ju went into seclusion in the mountains, Su Zong finally asked Xiao Hua to be the prime minister, but Xiao Hua only pushed Xue Sheng to be in charge of the Ministry of Officials, but it never worked.
Once Xiao Hua went to ask Li Ju, who said, “Xue Sheng’s official luck is too low, it is difficult to be a big official.” Then Xiao Hua put the “Battling Fugue” written by Xue Sheng on the book case, hoping that Emperor Su Zong of Tang would see it and recommend it once again. When Su Zong came, he did read the “Plucking River Fugue”, but it was not to his liking, saying, “‘The son of heaven is the ruler’s father.’ And how can the jade teeth of the Son of Heaven be at the mercy of you people?”
Later on, he recommended again and again, but eventually he disagreed, so he believed in the order.
