China’s “Opinions on Further Strengthening the Control of Plastic Pollution” document, known as the “strictest plastic restriction in history” in 2021, came into effect throughout China, and many restaurants have replaced the plastic spoons (spoons) previously provided to customers with wooden spoons, sparking hot debate among netizens. The company’s newest product, the “KFC”, has been criticized by netizens for not having a curved shape to serve the soup, and the wooden spoon has been pickled and tasted before two sips of soup.

The netizens actually tested that the wooden spoons provided by KFC in Chengdu are still small and curved, but the wooden spoons did not take long to soak in the hot soup and produced changes, the spoons blistered away and the curvature became smaller and tended to flatten, so it was basically impossible to scoop the soup.
Some netizens said, drinking hot soup and not scoop ice cream, such cutlery can at best scoop ice cream.
Staff said that since January 1 can only provide guests with such wooden cutlery, so far have not received a similar response. The staff said that the views will be integrated upward, the wooden spoon for some improvements.
