According to local media reports, one confirmed case was found in Nanning on January 14 during nucleic acid testing of third-party extermination company staff as required by the specifications. The patient now lives in Huqiu Village, Xingning District, and has been experiencing malaise and coughing symptoms since January 12. The report announced the patient’s activity track in the past 2 weeks.
It is also reported that the patient Chen has been transferred to the Nanning Fourth People’s Hospital for consultation and treatment, and the close contacts identified have been transferred for isolation. Huqiu village, where the patient lives, has been cordoned off and nucleic acid tests are being conducted on residents.
The video posted by netizens shows that after the outbreak was discovered on the 14th, authorities deployed police and epidemic prevention personnel and immediately closed off Huqiu village. Residents formed a long line to begin nucleic acid testing, which continued into the night.
