Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, was closed to the public due to the serious epidemic. A video shows a family getting off the train at Shijiazhuang North Station and not being able to go home because of the city closure, and the freezing cold, not even having a bowl of noodles to eat. Another video shows a Shijiazhuang man who had to kill his pet goldfish, which he bought at a cost of 2,500 yuan (the same below), as food to eat because of the lack of ingredients at home due to the blockade.
In the afternoon of January 7, Shijiazhuang declared a “city closure” due to the rapid spread of the outbreak, and people and vehicles were not allowed to leave the city. On the same day, all traffic entrances out of the city were fully controlled, including trains, cars and planes.
Recently, a video showed that a family had no way to go home after getting off the train at Shijiazhuang North Station and had to sleep outside due to the closure of Shijiazhuang and the suspension of transportation. This is the coldest season in the north, the family can only cover the bedding from nowhere, waiting for the dawn.
The video shooter saw the scene and said, “So suffer, I went over here to buy buckets of noodles also did not, to see if there is nothing else.” A woman in this family said, “Buy buckets of noodles also do not provide boiling water.”
The video shooter said, “It’s not a good idea to stay like this. Have you thought of a solution?”
The woman said, “No.”
The videographer said, “I’ll look for food later, but it’s all closed. Oh, it’s really urgent, but I can’t help. If I were here, I would go back and make some rice, make some rice and get it over, but my house is not here, my house… is far away from here, and the car is not allowed to run back and forth.”
Those unable to return home are sleeping on the streets, while those at home are experiencing a lack of food supplies due to the blockade.
Land media reported that on Jan. 9, a man surnamed Jiang in Shijiazhuang had to steam his pet goldfish, which he bought a year ago for 2,500 yuan, to eat because of a shortage of ingredients at home due to the closed quarantine.
The man said that it was the fourth day of isolation, home ingredients are not enough, and see the pet goldfish spirit is not good, and can not be sent to the pet store for medical treatment, around will die, so they cooked to eat.
Later, the man added that the local ingredients are now obtained without problems.
