British study: formerly infected people immune within 5 months!

Patients infected with Wuhan pneumonia (novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19) may be immune to the virus for at least five months, but there is evidence that even those with antibodies can still carry and transmit the virus, according to an official study published in the UK.

According to Reuters, Public health England (PHE) scientists said that of the 6,614 infected people studied in the past, only 44 were re-infected, and that the effect was more protective than after receiving the Oxford vaccine, and even equivalent to the immune effect of the Pfizer vaccine.

However, even if the resistance is similar to the vaccine, it means that people infected in the first half of 2020 are likely to be infected again, and even if the resistance still exists, the virus may still be present in the nose and throat, and inadvertently infect others.

Because the virus may continue to spread, the study also states, “It is important that everyone follow the rules of vaccination and that even those who have been infected must stay at home.
