Occupy Congress be damned?

What to make of the political storm triggered by the occupation of Congress by people on the right in the United States? If you just look at the American mainstream media, it is simply a decadence: coups, riots, etc. But wait, not to mention that such mass movements occurring in other countries have been repeatedly praised by the Western media. Just six months ago, when the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States besieged the White House, did the U.S. mainstream media ever accuse it? No! They praised it as “people’s justice” in a high profile way, and even accused Trump of using the National Guard to maintain law and order. When you compare the two events, it is easy to see the current double standard of the American media: the siege of the White House is not guilty, the occupation of Congress is damned!

Some say it’s not the same. After all, the White House was not occupied. So wouldn’t it be a worse atrocity for Black Lives Matter to burn down Minnesota’s commercial streets? Wouldn’t occupying a Seattle neighborhood to form an autonomous region be a blatant coup? Did the American mainstream media ever accuse? No! New York Governor’s brother and CNN anchor Cuomo Jr. even blatantly said on his show, “Who says protests are supposed to be polite and peaceful?”

So Occupy Capitol Hill was condemned not because it was really a riot, but because the American media has become a complete sounding board for the Democrats and the Washington establishment. What I just can’t understand is that some Republican politicians, including President Trump, have gone after the Democrats and the mainstream media to issue condemnations. Could there be a more foolish move to dig one’s own grave? It has resulted in the present situation of being pressed by the Democratic Party to grind on Pennsylvania Avenue. Contrast this with the Black Lives Matter movement, where Biden, Pelosi and other top Democrats unleashed atrocities on their own supporters by taking a knee and holding a state funeral. Contrast the two, who else dares to support the right in the future? Trump and other top Republican Party moves, both cowardly and irresponsible, but also to fall on the well. Ask: If the black life expensive stormed the White House six months ago, the White House police dare to shoot them? And how many of the media, politicians, would dare to call it a riot and a coup?

America is turning into a garbage country

Double standards are actually a standard modus operandi for many media and politicians, and I’m not surprised. What intrigues me is that the American mainstream media and political elites have a very odd double standard: whatever is against the American tradition is right; whatever defends the American tradition is wrong. The leftist Black Lives Matter movement, waged to overthrow the American tradition, is an insurrection. But no one in the entire political and cultural sphere of elites dares to accuse them of disturbing the social order, no one dares to say that they are destroying the political system. Even President Trump only said that he wanted to maintain law and order! And no one dares to say that the vast majority of people involved in the Black Lives Matter movement are socially marginalized! And the people on the right who support Trump and who stormed Congress because of their intolerance for election cheating are being attacked as coup thugs! Is there still justice and fairness in the world? Is this still the America I have longed for and revered since I was a student?

America is turning into a trash country: the state apparatus and the media are controlled by a few people. Although America still has an election process, it does not actually play a role in renewing the political elite. You can see from the Occupy Congress event how powerful the kinetic energy of the legislators is. And how many of these legislators are already “old but not dead, but a thief”? Speaker Pelosi is 80 years old, her father is a congressman, and she has been a congressman for 33 years! Is she really more capable and knowledgeable than her challengers? Of course not! It’s this electoral system that facilitates the re-election of members of Congress, and they can be re-elected indefinitely! These politicians, who are easily re-elected for decades, have formed an intricate interest group in Congress, the “Washington swamp” that Trump has vowed to drain. But this has clearly moved the cheese of these establishment elites. So taking the White House would be avenging their deaths, while taking Capitol Hill would be killing them.

I’ve said it before: there are only two types of people on the left, the geeks at the bottom and the liars at the top. Otherwise, it is hard to believe that these congressmen do not understand that the stones on Capitol Hill are no more precious than the stones on the commercial streets of Minneapolis; and that the few hours they are held up by the people are in no way more difficult than the few weeks of the ordinary people in the occupied areas of Seattle. One could argue that America today has indeed been coup d’etat! But not by a popular coup of the right, but by a decades-long ideological campaign coup of the left, by a coup of the corruption and decadence of the political elite, by a coup of the double standards of the mainstream media!
