The situation of the New Coronavirus (CCP) epidemic in China has taken a sharp turn for the worse. On Wednesday (13), the number of confirmed cases of New Coronavirus pneumonia in Heilongjiang province surged by 43 cases, with 68 new asymptomatic infections. More than 38 million people in the province are banned from going outside. In Hebei, there were 81 new cases, including one death, the first in mainland China in nearly eight months.
The Heilongjiang health Commission announced that on January 13, the province had 43 new confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia and 68 new asymptomatic infections. Local authorities have implemented isolation control measures for all identified close contacts and close contacts of close contacts, and disinfected and closed management of the places they had visited.
The Heilongjiang provincial government announced that the province has entered a state of emergency and ordered more than 37.5 million residents in the province to stay put, including Suihua, a city of 5 million people, which was closed on Monday after 45 asymptomatic cases of infection were found.

In an interview with Radio Free Asia on Thursday (14), Mr. Li, a resident of Suihua’s Lanxi County, said the local government had declared an indefinite home quarantine: “I’m in Suihua, and now it’s a city closure regardless of whether there’s an epidemic or not. Seal the city, seal the town, seal the village, and then do the nucleic acid screening. There is no clear notice on exactly how many days to seal.”
On January 12, 2021, cars were banned from leaving the Angangxi district when a “state of emergency” was declared in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang province.
Just a day earlier, on Tuesday (12), 16 cases of the new crown outbreak were confirmed in Heilongjiang, increasing to 43 cases a day later, causing many people to panic.
Li Hui, a resident of the hardest-hit Wangkui County, said in an interview with the station that there are 56 cases of asymptomatic infections in the county, which are expected to be confirmed soon, including her family: “There are several neighborhoods sealed off, and the city is closed. Our family, now all found the outbreak, sealed more than sixty neighborhoods.”
Liu Yang, a resident of Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province, told the station that a local case was found two days ago, and now even supermarkets in the community have to undergo strict checks: “You have to take your temperature in the supermarket and say you can enter, otherwise you won’t be allowed in, you have to wear a mask, and you have to register, and now it’s strict again.”
Hebei confirmed infected people added 81 cases in a single day
In addition to Heilongjiang, the number of confirmed cases of the new crown outbreak in Hebei province, which is adjacent to Beijing, did not decrease significantly compared to the previous day. The Hebei Provincial Health and Wellness Commission informed this Thursday (14) that 81 new local confirmed cases of New Guan Pneumonia were reported in the province the previous day (13), including 75 cases reported in Shijiazhuang and 6 cases reported in Xingtai. In addition, Hebei Province added one new case of new coronary pneumonia death. This is the first confirmed case of death in Hebei in eight months.
Feng Zijian, director of the CDC, told Chinese media that the Shijiazhuang outbreak has more cases and is developing faster than previous clusters. Shijiazhuang has been fully sealed off and vehicles and people are not allowed to leave the city.

Shijiazhuang, the hardest hit area of the epidemic in Hebei, has a population of more than 11 million, while Xingtai has more than 8 million. Because of this epidemic, they all can’t travel normally.
Some Hebei Baoding truck drivers were banned from refueling at a gas station in Kulle, Xinjiang. In a video, a Baoding driver complained that the gas station staff refused to refuel his vehicle. The driver questioned the staff: “What crime do we have not to give us gas, I am Hebei Baoding over, I am in Xinjiang Korla Sinopec gas station, not to give me gas. Do not give us Hebei’s car refueling, you call this discrimination, you know.”
Beijing high alert community closed to prevent the new crown virus
Ms. Wang, a resident of Shunyi, Beijing, told reporters that authorities are on high alert: “Beijing is now checking very tightly. Our side of the community to be closed today, we said in the WeChat group, we are now a low-risk areas, should not be closed, now on the seal left a door, in and out are through a door. Couriers and delivery people are not allowed to enter the community. My mom lives in a neighborhood that requires face recognition.”
Mi Feng, spokesman for China’s National Health and Wellness Commission, told the media that many domestic places in China have reported indigenous disseminated cases and aggregated outbreaks, showing characteristics such as long duration, wide coverage, rapid spread, old age of patients, high proportion of rural areas, and in some places, community transmission and multi-generational transmission.
