On January 13, a whistleblower letter was circulated on the Internet regarding “a whistleblower report of dX Digital CEO Zhang Chexiang for bribing Guangzhou Auto executives, sexually assaulting his staff and insulting Chinese employees.
AI Finance reported that the whistleblower claimed to be an employee of Dentsu Digital’s Guangzhou branch and wanted to report the illegal behavior of Hiroyuki Maruyama, the head of Dentsu Digital (Beijing) Advertising Company’s Guangzhou branch, and Dentsu Digital CEO Zhang Chexiang. And said that all participants in the report are willing to report the real name to bear the subsequent consequences, please leadership discretion.
The letter cites “crimes” such as corruption, workplace bullying and insulting female employees, as well as forcing business employees to participate in pimping and bribery with Zhang Chexiang.
The report cited a letter saying that Li Liang (Chuanqi) of Guangzhou Automobile Group colluded with Zhang Chexiang to enter a large number of false placements and designate suppliers to take advantage of the company’s profits. In fact, Li Liang and Zhang Chexiang have a secret account. As a result of making fake accounts to conceal profits, Dentsu Digital Guangzhou started to pay 90% less tax to the government from 2019 than before”.
It is worth noting that just a short time ago, Dentsu Digital Guangzhou Branch had a personnel “earthquake”. According to the self-publishing media, EJJ Finance reported that the company’s team serving Guangzhou Toyota received a request to leave from Dentsu Digital CEO Zhang Chexiang and his assistant Hiroyuki Maruyama in the early morning of January 8. Subsequently, the team members also received emails from HR informing them to sign a “negotiated termination of employment contract agreement”.
The whistleblower article mentioned that the company publicly ridiculed the current service BAE team for their mediocre posture, saying that the current team should be replaced and that women under 30 with faces and bodies should be recruited and specifically hired. The company’s front-line business employees were asked to get it done through bribery, drinking, and peachy sex deals. GAC’s Sino-Japanese side also has more workplace sexual harassment and humiliation of Chinese female employees, including forcing business employees to participate in peach sex and bribery together, every time they come to Guangzhou, renting the Fuli Grand Hyatt and Ascot apartments and forcing male employees to share women with them …….
Dentsu senior response: Dentsu China leadership is investigating the matter. It said that once it is confirmed, it will not be tolerated.
