British media are reporting that President Trump may spend his final days in office declassifying U.S. intelligence related to the Chinese Communist Party virus, including that the virus may have originated in animal experiments conducted by the Chinese military.
The Daily Telegraph and other media reported on Jan. 13 that Trump intends to drop a “shock bomb” before he leaves office, releasing secret information about the outbreak to confirm that the virus was leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, and then deal a fatal blow to the Chinese Communist Party.
President Trump will end his term next week, and British diplomatic officials believe he could make the big move anytime in the next few days.
British sources told The Daily Telegraph that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo could release the information as early as today (Wednesday), including that the Chinese military is conducting research projects that involve animal experiments in laboratories to “grow a dangerous coronavirus.
The report said this would raise more questions about why the Chinese military would be involved in such a project. And how this relates to potential biological weapons.
Speculation about the news was fueled Monday by remarks from Trump’s national security adviser, Robert O’Brien.
O’Brien said the world “cannot continue to pay a heavy price for its naiveté or for being complicit in Beijing’s evil,” whether it’s the Communist Party’s ending of the rule of law in Hong Kong or its refusal to cooperate with health officials.
He warned that “the United States is developing further options to respond.”
In early January, Matthew Pottinger, a former U.S. deputy national security adviser and a China-based Tom Tomin, declared at an international conference that there was growing evidence that the COVID-19 virus had been leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. The statement was seen as a “tough” stance by the Trump administration on the source of the virus.
“There is growing evidence that the laboratory may be the most credible source of the virus.” The latest U.S. intelligence indicates that the virus was spread from a lab 11 miles from the Wuhan Aquatic Products Market due to a “leak or accident,” Bomen said.
“Even establishment figures in Beijing have publicly denied the story about the seafood market,” Bomin said. Boming said.
