Xi Jinping mentions big changes, “eight standing committee” appearances lead to speculation
Recently, the Chinese Communist Party held a seminar for leading cadres at the provincial and ministerial levels, including Wang Qishan, the “eight Standing Committee” collective appearance, Xi Jinping’s speech at the seminar, the world is experiencing a major change unprecedented in a century. This has led to speculation.
According to party media reports, the Chinese Communist Party held on January 11, the main leading cadres at the provincial and ministerial levels to study and implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee seminar. Li Keqiang presided over the opening ceremony, while Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Zhao Leji and Han Zheng of the Standing Committee of the CPC Political Bureau and Vice President Wang Qishan attended the opening ceremony.
This is the first time that the top echelon of the CPC has made a collective appearance in public since the New Year. According to commentator Zhong Yuan’s analysis, the re-emergence of the 7 Standing Committee plus Wang Qishan should be mainly to show once again that there is no internal unanimity and no disagreement, which just shows that the CCP’s infighting has caused more and more private discussions among officials at all levels, and the CCP top brass had to deliberately dispel the rumors.
For the first time, Xi Jinping mentioned the need to enhance the CCP’s survivability, competitiveness, development and sustainability amidst all kinds of foreseeable and unforeseeable storms and turbulent waves.
Xi also mentioned that the world today is undergoing a great change unprecedented in a century, and argued that time and momentum are on the side of the CPC, which is where their so-called determination and backbone lie.
Some analysts believe that Xi’s speech is a hint that the current international situation is favorable to the CCP, given the chaos in the United States due to the regime transition and the imminent rise to power of the pro-CCP Biden camp.
Veteran current affairs commentator Lin He Li’s analysis in Apple Daily suggests that the recent presidential election controversy in the United States has left the entire society in a highly divided state, and the recent congressional riots may be seen by Beijing as a symbol of the decline of the West. It is only when Xi Jinping said “the time and the situation are on our side” that he made the statement.
The senior current affairs commentator Liu Ruishao analyzed that China’s economic crisis has surfaced, and even the recent implementation of the investment agreement between the Chinese Communist Party and the European Union is “distant water cannot put out a nearby fire”, while China has begun to seize the people’s property, including the rectification of Alibaba, requiring Maotai to send shares, and so on, the government and the people are in constant conflict, and some regions have emerged to resist donations and acquisitions.
Liu Ruishao said that the current situation of Chinese society, like the dynasties, before the peasant uprising, “the government forced the people to rebel” state, Xi Jinping’s speech, the purpose is to ask the people to support the Communist regime.
He also said that Xi Jinping seldom spoke so frankly in the past, which reflects that the current economic situation in China is worse, and will continue to be worse, it is expected that the Chinese Communist Party will continue to choose to annex the people’s capital and property to solve the economic crisis, the future of the government and the people’s conflicts and conflicts will further increase.

President Trump declassifies Indo-Pacific strategy framework document, hopes to continue counter-communist strategy
President Trump on Tuesday (Jan. 12, 2021) declassified the framework of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Strategy developed in 2018. The unusual move is believed to reflect President Trump’s desire to continue the Trump administration’s policy toward China after Biden takes office, while reassuring U.S. allies in the region.
National Security Adviser O’Brien said in a statement Tuesday on the White House’s declassification of the Indo-Pacific Strategic Framework, “This document is being declassified so that the American people and our allies and partners understand that the United States remains committed to ensuring that the freedom and openness of the Indo-Pacific region will last into the long term future.”
The 10-page classified document describes the Chinese Communist Party as a major U.S. security concern, followed by North Korea, and cites cooperation with allies and partners, especially helping to enhance the rise of India, as a major strategy to counterbalance the Chinese Communist Party, Voice of America reported. The document also emphasizes helping Taiwan develop military and asymmetric warfare strategies to defend against the CCP threat.
The Indo-Pacific Strategic Framework identifies the U.S. commitment to designing and implementing a defense strategy that will enable, but is not limited to, thwarting CCP control of air and sea space within the first island chain, protecting the security of countries within the first island chain, including Taiwan, and dominating all areas of operations outside the first island chain in the event of military conflict.
Those familiar with the development of this strategic framework say the description of Taiwan in Trump’s Indo-Pacific strategic framework indicates that Trump not only intends but is committed to deterring the Chinese Communist Party from attacking Taiwan and, if necessary, repelling the Communist Party’s offensive.
The document, previously classified as “classified” and “withheld from foreign citizens,” is believed to have been declassified 30 years earlier than normal.

U.S. Congress in trouble after joint meeting of four lawmakers confirms diagnosis
On Tuesday (Jan. 12), Illinois Congressman Brad Schneider, a Democrat, was diagnosed with the Chinese Communist virus, after several lawmakers have tested positive for the virus. Capitol physicians warned that many lawmakers stayed in the chamber for long periods of time due to the Jan. 6 turmoil in Congress, which created a high risk of spreading the virus.
On Tuesday, Schneider released a statement in which he announced that he himself had tested positive for the CCP virus that morning and had to go into quarantine. Schneider blamed the infection on the Jan. 6 confrontation at the Capitol, where he had to stay with other lawmakers for several hours.
“I don’t know where I caught this virus, not even necessarily from the Capitol chamber,” Schneider said during his quarantine at his suburban Chicago home, “but I do know that I was more exposed in the chamber than at any other time during the entire pandemic.
Within about 24 hours, three House Democrats had announced they had tested positive, and before Schneider, Rep. P. Milmil Jayapal (D-Wash.) and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-N.J.) were also quarantined with a confirmed diagnosis of the Chinese Communist virus.
A few days earlier, Republican Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, who announced his diagnosis of COVID-19 after the joint session, said he is now able to adapt to working remotely. Several other lawmakers were placed in quarantine prior to the meeting due to the diagnosis.
On Jan. 6, the U.S. Congress was in recess midway through a joint session on election certification after protesters broke into the Capitol building, during which many House members remained in the chamber for more than six hours.
