YouTube announces: banning Trump channel from uploading videos for a week

Following the blocking of President Trump‘s account by social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook, YouTube, the video platform of technology giant Google, has also announced that it has banned the uploading of new videos on Trump’s YouTube channel for a week, and has also banned the channel’s commenting function indefinitely.

A spokesman for YouTube said, “After careful review, we have removed the latest videos from Trump’s YouTube channel in accordance with the messenger regulations, and banned the channel from uploading videos for one week, considering the possibility of inciting violence. ” YouTube also said that it suspended the comment function of Trump’s channel indefinitely.

The YouTube channel of Trump has 2.77 million subscribers, and after Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms blocked Trump, civil rights groups also surged Google to remove Trump’s YouTube channel, threatening to call for a boycott of advertisers if the YouTube platform did not take action.

According to YouTube user regulations, the first violation will be banned from uploading videos for one week, the second for two weeks, and the third violation will permanently delete the channel.
