According to a Jan. 12 report in Breitbart News, PBS’s Michael Beller has been announced by PBS that he no longer works for the publicly traded company and that his comments “do not represent PBS.
A video sent out earlier by the Veritas Project, a right-wing activist group, shows Michael Beller, who claims to be PBS’s chief legal counsel, not caring about the deaths of Trump supporters and calling for the re-education of Trump supporters. But he also admitted that he would be more likely to join the violence if Joe Biden lost the presidency.
Following the news, PBS tweeted a response to the Veritas Project’s video in an attempt to clear its name with Beller. the PBS tweet said, “The employee no longer works for PBS. As a mid-level staff attorney, he cannot speak for our organization and does not have the authority to make any reporting decisions.”
The Veritas Project announced that “Baylor has been fired,” and James O’Keefe, the project’s founder, watched a public relations statement saying that the man in the original video was a “mid-level attorney.”
Chinese American scholar Ms. He Qinglian commented, “This man is more vicious than Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution. The more comments like this, the more it will wake up Western allies. Countries like France, Britain and Australia have woken up to the fact that they must legislate against high-tech companies banning speech, and another point that the Biden administration didn’t say because they didn’t want to offend: they can’t turn their own countries into this, and they must manage elections well to eliminate rigging and fraud.”
The left-wing news outlet PBS, through its PBS Foundation, has gained the status of a charity that is not only exempt from federal income taxes but also receives direct funding from the federal government, and its local affiliates receive various funds from state and local governments.
