U.S. State Department cancels all travel plans, ambassador to U.N. will not visit Taiwan

The State Department said Jan. 12 that it is canceling all travel plans for the week, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo‘s trip to Europe. The move is intended to help complete the change of government in the United States.

Previously, it was rumored that U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Kraft’s visit to Taiwan this week was also cancelled. Taiwan’s representative to the U.S., Mei-Chin Hsiao, also confirmed the news.
