Fight back! U.S. Internet Service Providers Block Twitter, Facebook

Facebook and Twitter have stepped up censorship to silence conservative voices and blocked President Trump‘s account in the wake of the turmoil in the U.S. Congress, and then the three Internet giants have joined forces to “hang” Parler, a new stronghold for Trump supporters. Now, one U.S. ISP has decided to fight back.

According to NBC’s KGW TV 11, Idaho-based ISP Your T1 WIFI confirmed that it is blocking Facebook and Twitter for some users in response to user dissatisfaction, a decision that will take effect on the 13th.

The company issued a statement saying: “Our company does not believe that a website or social networking site has the power to censor what you see and post and hide messages from you, preventing you from seeing what your friends and family post. That’s why, after a great deal of concern, we made this decision to block these two sites from being visited through our network.”
