On January 11, a confirmed case was reportedly found in Gao Village, Yuzi District, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, which is now under closed management. The authorities in Jinzhong City issued an internal notice to implement full nucleic acid testing for all residents in the following 5-7 days.
The official media of the Communist Party of China (CPC) did not report this sudden outbreak, and in a report on January 11, the authorities only requested that people returning (arriving) from Hebei Province with a history of residence since December 1, 2020, and those who came from medium to high risk areas in the last 14 days, should take the initiative to declare to their village (community) or unit (or the hotel where they are staying) in the first instance. High-risk areas to return (to) and personnel, the implementation of “14 + 2” centralized isolation medical observation measures (centralized isolation 14 days, 2 times the nucleic acid test).
