Some rabbis say the attempt to censor speech by tech giants like Twitter and Facebook by blocking the accounts of Trump and his campaign team is a war against God. Pictured are statues of Greek gods.
Following the violence at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, President Donald Trump’s Twitter and Facebook accounts were frozen, the social media App Parler, which replaces Twitter, was taken down by Google and Apple, and YouTube began removing content related to election fraud. In response to these major tech companies joining forces to censor speech, some rabbis say this is a war against God that will ultimately be lost.
As previously reported, in addition to blocking the accounts of Trump and his campaign in an attempt to silence them, Twitter has also allegedly censored the followers of American conservatives and Trump supporters. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo‘s official account lost 36,000 followers.
Pompeo tweeted from his personal Twitter account, “Banning is dangerous. This is not American. Sadly, this isn’t a new tactic from the left. They’ve been working for years to silence the opposition. We can’t let them silence the voices of 75 million Americans, and this is not the Chinese Communist Party.”
Nikki Haley, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, also posted a condemnation of tech giants like Twitter. She wrote: “Getting people to ban their voices, let alone the president of the United States (to ban his voice), is something that happens in China, not in our country.”
And Pinchas Winston, a Canadian rabbi and eschatology writer, told the website Israel365 News that controlling the media is how liberals control society at large. This is one of the ways in which the Egyptian pharaohs deny God, as mentioned in the Bible’s book of Exodus.
Winston attacked Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Pinchas Winston as arrogant and arrogant, who see themselves as Pharaoh sees himself, as standing in the place of God.
He points out that they believe they are doing what is best for the community, so they allow themselves to deprive people of their freedom of thought. But unfortunately, the justice these people sought is now being buried by the desire for revenge and distorted by arrogance and self-importance.
He mentioned that they do not believe in truth and falsehood, or right and wrong. They only believe in themselves. They believe that God is unimportant and see themselves as the final arbiter. So they try to convince people that God does not exist and try to take away their God-given free will by controlling their minds.
Since this is an anti-God agenda, he says, it is a facet of the war between Gog and Magog. The war of Gog and Magog is a war against God and will ultimately be lost.
Judaism asserts that Gog and Magog are the enemies of the Messiah (Savior) and will be defeated by the Messiah, thus beginning the Messianic age. The Messiah will eventually appear.
