On Jan. 6, Americans supporting President Trump gathered outside the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., to protest election fraud and urge lawmakers to reject electoral votes from states suspected of fraud.
In the wake of the U.S. Capitol storming, the Democratic Party and leftist media took the opportunity to portray President Trump as the culprit of “inciting violence. However, this unsubstantiated narrative has failed to erode public support for Trump. The latest poll released by Rasmussen Reports shows that Trump’s approval rating has risen to a record high of 51%.
According to the U.S. media “Newsmax” (Newsmax), the latest data released by the conservative poll Rasmussen Reports last Thursday evening (January 7) shows that after the January 6 protests by millions of people in Washington, Trump’s approval rating has risen again, from 45% before Christmas to the current 51%.
Rasmussen Reports is one of the most objective pollsters in the United States.
Last Wednesday, there was a partial break-in of the Capitol by protesters. Millions of pro-Trump Americans gathered in Washington, D.C., at the time to protest election fraud with a large rally and to urge members of Congress to reject electoral votes in states where fraud was suspected. In the afternoon, some protesters stormed the Capitol, during which a 35-year-old former Air Force woman was shot dead by Capitol security personnel in public, and two other protesters died of suspected illnesses or falls from heights that failed to reach medical attention in time.
On Jan. 7, Republican U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ariz.) said the Capitol break-in was an orchestrated attack by the far-left group Antifa, which wanted to frame Trump supporters. He provided several pieces of credible evidence for this.
The video of the Capitol break-in circulated on the Internet also shows Trump supporters shouting, “Antifa! Antifa! Antifa!” There were also people on the scene who testified that he saw police escorting several carloads of Antifa officers to the rally, as evidenced by the video.
In fact, Trump did not issue any rhetoric inciting people to violence when he spoke at the big Washington rally on the 6th. After the Congress storming incident, Trump also issued a video speech in the first time, calling on the protesting people to remain peaceful and go home safely.
However, after the incident, the Democratic Party and the leftist media still unabashedly put all the blame for the storming of Congress on Trump, demanding that Trump and pro-Trump lawmakers be held responsible for the deaths in the clashes.
Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi even pressured Vice President Mike Pence afterwards to remove President Trump from office under the 25th Amendment to the Constitution. After Pence refused, Pelosi vowed to initiate a second impeachment process against the president.
A source told “Newsmax” that Americans have been disgusted by the many riots and arson attacks in major cities for months, but the mainstream media has done nothing about it and is now making a big deal out of congressional events. He was very unhappy with this injustice and said, “(No matter what happens), people still love Trump”.
