Keeping the promise! President Trump to visit Texas

President Donald Trump will travel to the Alamo, Texas, on Tuesday to mark the completion of a 400-mile border wall, according to a statement from White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Dill.

“President Trump is expected to travel to the Alamo, Texas, to mark the completion of more than 400 miles of border wall – a promise, a promise kept – and his administration’s efforts to reform our broken immigration system,” Deal said.

In reporting on Trump’s planned visit to the Alamo near the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge, The Dallas News noted that “about 452 miles have been built. About 12 miles of that is along a section of the border that previously had no barriers. The rest replaced a shorter and less robust barrier.”

Last August, then-presidential candidate Joe Biden vowed to stop building the border wall if he was elected president.

“First, there will not be another foot of wall built in my administration,” Biden said at the time.” Second …… I will make sure we have border protection, but that will be based on making sure we use high-tech capabilities to respond. And at the ports of entry, that’s where all the bad stuff is.”
