Officer Brian Sicknick died after the Capitol incident, and we at Apollo.com reported on Saturday (Jan. 9) that Officer Sicknick’s death may have been due to some sort of illness. Today is Jan. 10, and the latest news from the National Pulse says that Officer Sicknick’s family is begging the community “not to make Brian’s death a political issue.” The news comes as sources suggest that the 42-year-old officer’s death may be linked to his own illness.
According to an ABC News report, sources familiar with the matter said authorities believe Officer Sinick’s death was caused by the illness. Authorities are also investigating reports that Sinik was attacked with a fire extinguisher or other object at the Capitol, the sources said. So far, reports of the attack on Officer Sinik have not been confirmed, and authorities also hope to find video or other images of the scene.
The family of Officer Sinick issued a similarly opinionated statement in which they wrote: “Many details about Wednesday’s incident and the immediate cause of Brian’s injuries are still unknown, and our entire family begs the public and the media to respect our wishes and not make Brian’s death a political issue. “
