Rasmussen Poll: Trump‘s Approval Rating Soars After D.C. Protests, Hits New Record High
The latest Rasmussen Reports poll shows that President Donald Trump’s approval rating has risen again after the January 6 protests by millions of people in Washington, D.C., reaching a record high of 51 percent.
According to Newsmax, one of the most accurate pollsters in the 2020 election, the latest Rasmussen poll released Thursday night, Jan. 7, shows that President Trump’s approval rating has soared to 51 percent from 45 percent before Christmas.
On Jan. 6, as a joint session of Congress was convened to certify the new president, a woman was shot and killed when people under the banner of “Trump supporters” stormed the Capitol and caused a riot. The incident also caused the certification process to be interrupted for a while. Since then, the leftists, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, put the blame for the incident on President Trump and pressured Vice President Mike Pence to remove him from office under the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, or she would initiate a second impeachment process against the president. And Pence rejected Pelosi’s offer.
Newsmax quoted a source as saying that for months, Americans have been disgusted by the many riots and arson that have occurred in major cities, but the mainstream media has done nothing about it, but this time made a big deal out of the congressional events. He said, “(No matter what happens), people still love Trump.”
Trump’s most isolated moment in U.S. politics Big money: the best president in my lifetime
President Donald Trump’s grip on Washington Republicans is beginning to unravel, and he is at his most politically isolated moment now compared to any time during his administration.
The anti-Trump Associated Press, after implying that the U.S. Capitol was to blame, said Trump appears to have lost some of his strongest allies, including South Carolina U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham. Two Cabinet members and at least six staffers have resigned, and several Republican members of Congress are openly considering whether to join another impeachment of Trump.
But Trump still has supporters, especially outside of Washington, where many grassroots Republican voters and conservative activists are.
Trump’s big moneymaker Doug Deason said the events of this week have not shaken his confidence in Trump in any way. Deason said, “Including Reagan, he (Trump) is the best president I’ve ever had.”
The war spreads! Amazon to Shut Down Parler Servers, CEO Responds: Prepared
Parler CEO John Matze’s earliest statement said, “At midnight on Sunday (Jan. 10), Amazon will shut down all of our servers in an attempt to completely eliminate free speech on the Internet. We are starting the rebuilding process from scratch, and there is a possibility that Parler will be unavailable on the Internet for up to a week. We prepared for such a scenario by no longer relying on Amazon’s proprietary infrastructure and building a bare metal product.
“We will now do our best to move to a new provider, there are many providers competing to take our business, but Amazon, Google and Apple are doing it on purpose; it’s a coordinated effort on their part and they believe that our options will be limited and also that it will cause the most damage because President Trump is banned from being vocal on the tech company’s platform.
“This is a coordinated attack by the tech giants to stifle competition in the marketplace. (Because) we’re succeeding too quickly. You can expect the war on competition and free speech to continue, but don’t think we’re out of the game.”
John Matze’s latest statement, released on the evening of the 9th, includes suggestions for how users can help Parler:.
1) You can go back to Parler.com or use the side-loaded Android version or use the installed version of Parler on Tuesday.
2) Check email and spam for messages from Parler
3) Call, write and email congressmen and senators from both parties and expose this anti-competitive behavior.
4) Don’t leave angry messages, but do complain politely to Amazon, Google, and Apple via email and phone.
He said optimistically, “We should be up and running again in less than 12 hours after Amazon abruptly cancelled (Parler) access.”
Disagrees with leftist characterization of riots Defense Department characterizes Jan. 6 as First Amendment protest
The leftist media and the Democratic Party accused the Jan. 6 storming of Congress of being an insurrection, but a Defense Department statement said it was 1st amendment protests. Apollo.com commentator Wang Duyan says this is a statement from Acting Secretary of Defense Miller, who clearly disagrees with the left.
The subject of the DoD statement, “Plans and Implementation Schedule for National Guard Participation in the January 6, 2021 First Amendment Protest in Washington, DC. In the opening paragraph of this statement, issued on Jan. 8, it says: The Department of Defense has released a detailed plan and implementation schedule for National Guard involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, First Amendment protests in Washington, D.C.
