CDC denies the emergence of a “U.S. variant” of the Chinese Communist virus

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday (Jan. 8) refuted claims of the emergence of a new variant of the Chinese communist virus originating in the United States.

“Researchers have been monitoring the U.S. strain since the outbreak began, including 5,700 samples collected in November and December.” A CDC spokesperson told the news outlet.

“To date, neither CDC researchers nor analysts have seen a specific variant of the virus emerge in the United States, unlike the B.1.1.7 that emerged in the United Kingdom and the B.1.351 variant that emerged in South Africa.” He added.

The White House Coronavirus Task Force told states in a report last week that there may be a “U.S. variant” of the Chinese Communist virus.

“The surge in cases this fall and winter is rising almost twice as fast as the spring and summer surges. This acceleration suggests that in addition to the British variant already spreading in our communities, there may be a U.S. variant that has evolved here and could increase its transmissibility by 50 percent.” The report said.

“Aggressive mitigation measures must be employed to counter the more aggressive virus; without uniform implementation of effective masks (two or three layers and appropriately sized) and strict social distancing, the outbreak could rapidly worsen as these variants spread and take over.”

COVID-19 is a pneumonia disease caused by a Chinese communist virus (coronavirus).

Several new variants of the CCP virus have been discovered in recent months, including B.1.1.7 in the U.K. Authorities say the variant is more transmissible than the widely spread strain of the CCP virus (SARS-CoV-2), although there is no evidence yet that it is more lethal.

The B.1.1.7 variant of the strain first identified in the United Kingdom has been found in the U.S. Official data released by the CDC show that the more infectious B.1.1.7 has now spread to at least eight U.S. states, including California and Florida, where the outbreak is most severe.

The variant has also been found in Colorado, Texas, New York, Georgia, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, for a total of 63 cases so far.

Both the U.S. and the U.K. recorded the highest daily death toll from the CCP virus this week, with more than 4,000 new deaths in the U.S. and 1,325 new deaths in the U.K. on Jan. 7.
