A violent carjacking occurred in the early morning hours of the 9th in Koreatown, Los Angeles, where the suspect shot and killed the female owner of the car and wounded her dog. The suspect was still at large as of 11:00 p.m. on the 9th.
Los Angeles City Police Department (LAPD) Detective John Radtke said that at 1 a.m. on the 9th, a woman was shot and fell in a pool of blood near the intersection of Council Street and Mariposa Avenue. Although there are good Samaritans nearby to help, but the female victim still died of her injuries, her dog was also shot, sent to the veterinarian for treatment, is expected to live.
According to nearby witnesses, the female victim has a close friend who lives nearby, she was visiting; when the incident occurred, she was about to walk back to the parking place and drive away, but was carjacked by the gunman. The female victim’s dog sensed the danger and started barking, and the gunman shot the female victim before shooting the dog.
