Democrats have released a draft bill to impeach Donald Trump, saying it will be voted on next week

On January 7 at the U.S. Capitol, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called on Vice President Pence and cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office.

The U.S. House of Representatives said on Friday it would move quickly to impeach President Donald Trump and vote as soon as next week if Vice President Mike Pence and members of his Cabinet oppose removing him from office.

On Friday, Democratic Assistant Speaker of the House of Representatives Katherine Clark told CNN that the House would use all the tools at its disposal to ensure Trump’s removal from office. She added that if Mr. Pence did not agree, House Democrats would vote on articles of impeachment “as early as next week.”

“We can use procedural tools to bring articles of impeachment to the House floor for a quick vote.” Clark added.

Democratic lawmakers launched an effort to recall Trump after the Capitol was rocked by violence on Wednesday. On Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called on Pence and current cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office.

She also said that if Pence and cabinet members do not move to remove Trump from office, Congress will prepare for impeachment. Within hours, the House of Representatives introduced a draft resolution to impeach Trump.

According to the constitution amendment 25, paragraph 4, when the vice President and executive cabinet or most members of the congress, submit a written statement to the speaker of the senate and the speaker of the house of representatives, said of the power and responsibility of the President can’t perform as President, the vice President shall be immediately as acting President, the President position of power and responsibility.

However, Business Insider first reported that Mr Pence would not support such a move, citing a source close to him. The Hill newspaper also quoted White House officials as saying that Mr. Pence was not involved in The 25th Amendment discussions.

CNN earlier reported that a source said it was “highly unlikely” Pence would go that route. Pence himself has not discussed invoking the 25th Amendment with any Cabinet officials, an administration official told CNN.

With just 13 days left in President Donald Trump’s first term, Congress is in such a hurry to remove and impeach him that Internet users are saying: “You can see how guilty and scared these bastards are! I can’t wait in less than two weeks!” “13 days all wait, is afraid of Chuan uncle’s counterattack!” “Because they know he has the secret weapon to end them.”

Another netizen sarcastically said: “Their only task in the past four years is to impeach.” “Why don’t they have such efficiency when they are doing their business?!” “It means they still don’t believe their claims of victory.”

Some netizens suggested that the Communist Party was behind the US election: “We learned our lesson in 1949,1989 and 2019!!” “After the impeachment is successful, Trump and his team will be arrested, the evidence will be destroyed, and then the people will be killed. Be careful of the serial traps behind.”
