146 lawmakers face political liquidation Far left forces Cruzholi to resign

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (2nd from left) speaks with members of the House of Representatives during a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6.

In the wake of the U.S. congressional shock, Democratic far-left lawmakers have been making a lot of noise, trying to force the resignation of Republican Senators Ted Cruz (Ted Cruz) and Josh Hawley (Josh Hawley), who led the challenge to the disputed state’s electoral votes. British media said the 146 members of Congress involved in the challenge are facing a political liquidation crisis of being expelled.

Immediately after the U.S. Capitol was stormed by some protesters on Wednesday (Jan. 6), the Democratic Party and leftist media described the incident as “an attack on American democracy. Despite the fact that four of those killed in the incident were protesters, far-left forces characterized it as a “terrorist attack” and blamed all the tragic consequences on President Trump and the hundreds of members of Congress who supported him in his attempt to expose election fraud. All of the members of Congress who participated in this congressional contact meeting to challenge the electoral votes are now facing a political reckoning from leftist forces.

The British Daily Mail published an article on the 7th that the 8 Republican senators and 138 members of the U.S. Congress have been labeled as “treasonous preparatory party”. They are now in danger of being expelled because they challenged the Capitol after the riots.

In fact, in the immediate aftermath of the Capitol storming, freshman Democratic Rep. Cori Bush (R-CA) drafted a bill asking Congress to “expel” Republican lawmakers who had publicly pledged to challenge the electoral votes of the disputed states. The congresswoman, who has been dubbed a “veteran BLM activist” by the media, claimed that the pro-Trump lawmakers were trying to “incite domestic terror attacks by overturning elections.

On Thursday, another far-left congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), also publicly called for Cruz and Hawley to resign.

In a post on social media, AOC described the protesters’ storming of Congress as “despicable terrorism” and named Cruz as “barbaric and selfish” for his actions, holding him responsible for the deaths of four people. The AOC also threatened that “if not, the Senate should expel him.” In a tweet, she blamed Cruz for the riot and demanded that both he and Hawley resign.

In response, Cruz responded forcefully, “What I did and what other senators did is what we were elected to do, which is to debate important matters in the chamber of the United States Senate.”

After the storming of Congress, Cruz’s team quickly sent out a fundraising appeal via text message to those on his list, according to the Daily Mail. In the text message, he told the crowd, “Unless there is an emergency review of the election results, I will lead the battle to reject swing state electoral votes.” He also asked other lawmakers, “Will you stand with me?”

Senator Hawley is also facing a serious political liquidation crisis due to the events in Congress. Not only did AOC call for his immediate resignation by name, but New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio retweeted a posting claiming that Hawley had triggered a violent incident and arguing that he should resign immediately.

In the face of the siege from leftist lawmakers and the media, Hawley has steadfastly refused to apologize. In an interview with U.S. media, he said he was speaking out for the electoral justice that millions of Missourians and Americans are concerned about, and that he would not apologize for it. He stressed that he had nothing to do with the violence that took place at the Capitol and that the people who should be held responsible for the atrocities should be the ones who took the violent actions.
