U.S. media outlet Gateway Pundit reported on Jan. 7 that the CEO of social media Parler said our country is lost if we must limit and censor the voice of the people in order to maintain national security”
Parler is the fastest growing social media outlet outside of Facebook and Twitter, and the platform’s CEO, John Matze, is a University of Denver graduate and a true believer in free speech. Advocates of free speech are currently flocking to his social media platform at a rate that suggests Parler should be taken seriously.
On Jan. 7, Twitter suspended President Trump‘s account, accusing him of encouraging protesters to storm the Capitol. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was even incredibly bold in declaring that Facebook would block President Trump from using Facebook until he was no longer president of the United States.
Maz said, “It’s clear that Facebook and Twitter think the American people are weak, and it’s insulting to our Founding Fathers to think that Zuckerberg and Dorsey know what’s best for Americans. “
“Parler is not the arbiter of truth, and we trust the people to be wise enough to decide for themselves. The people can govern themselves as long as they have access to all the information available to them. The solution is clear. If you believe in free speech and the founding principles of the Republic, then come to Parler. “
Tiffany Trump, Trump’s daughter, has commented that her father was banned from Twitter and asked, “What happened to free speech?”
Maz told Tiffany, “There is no free speech on Twitter run by Birdbrain, they are either the platform or the publisher. They don’t want freedom of speech and they likewise won’t like democracy.”
Maz re-emphasized that “a well-functioning democratic republic and its democratic processes require discussion, debate and access to information. We the people must be able to make our own choices and determine right and wrong for ourselves, and we must be our own fact checkers. These cannot be achieved without freedom of speech and free access to information. We must free ourselves from their tactics of manipulation and control.”
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) also tweeted his pitch for the Parler social media platform, while he slammed tech giants Facebook, Instant Messenger and Twitter, where dissenting voices cannot be heard.
Mr. Martz also promoted the Parler social media platform to the right-wing media outlet The Daily Caller, where people tired of the censorship of Facebook, Instant Messenger and Twitter flocked to the platform.
