U.S. Election Congressional Certification Day Record-breaking Deaths from Infections

On the day Congress certified Biden’s victory, 3,963 people died from the Communist virus in the U.S., breaking the U.S. single-day record for deaths from the disease.

In the past week, the U.S. has averaged 2,686 deaths per day. According to a CNBC analysis of Hopkins data, more than 253,100 new cases were recorded across the U.S. on the 6th, while the 7-day average was a record high of more than 222,600.

That bodes well for more deaths in the coming weeks. Government agencies expect the number of deaths in the U.S. to rise to 430,000 by the end of January.

The data show that the seven-day average of new daily cases continues to grow by at least 5 percent in 47 states and the District of Columbia, indicating that the outbreak is expanding.

Nationwide, more than 132,400 people are currently hospitalized with the CDC virus, the highest number yet recorded, according to the COVID Tracking Project, an organization established by The Atlantic reporter.

Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the CDC, said last December, “The reality is December, January and February are going to be tough times.

He added, “I actually think this is going to be the most difficult period in the history of public health in this country.

Currently, cases of the British variant of the virus have been identified in at least eight U.S. states, including Texas, Connecticut, California, Florida, Colorado, Georgia, New York and Pennsylvania. At least 56 cases of infection with the variant virus have been identified in the United States to date.

Faced with a severe outbreak, U.S. officials are racing to accelerate the rollout of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 17.2 million doses of the vaccine had been distributed as of the 7th. However, just over 5.3 million doses were actually administered.

As of Jan. 6, more than 365,174 Americans have died from the communist virus. According to a Reuters analysis, almost one in every 914 U.S. residents has died from the virus since the outbreak began.
