In the early morning hours of Thursday (7), newly elected Republican U.S. Representative Jake LaTurner of Kansas announced on Twitter that he had just received a positive test result for Chinese Communist Pneumonia (COVID-19), but was not currently experiencing any symptoms.
In the tweet, LaTurner said he will follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regulations and his doctor’s advice and will not go to the House of Representatives to vote until he receives clearance from his doctor.
Rattner’s tweet came just after 2:30 a.m. on the 7th, three hours after he had attended a joint session of both chambers at the Capitol and voted on the House floor, unaware that he had contracted the Chinese Communist virus. But midway through the meeting, he was informed of his test results and immediately left the Capitol.
