The Hong Kong government indiscriminately arrested 53 pro-democracy activists overnight for responding to Dai Yaoting’s proposal to sack the Hong Kong government.
Dai’s article was published before the promulgation of the National Security Law, which explicitly states that there is no retroactive period, and the Chinese Communist Party has once again moved the dragon’s gate. What authority does the National Security Law have if it does not even abide by its own draconian laws?
The Chinese Communist Party has never ruled the people, but never ruled itself, and we are all used to this kind of robber logic.
The most useless is that Li Guihua, actually compared the big arrest to driving and robbery, not even the most minimal thinking logic. He said a person driving is fine, but driving to robbery is a crime. The question is, what crime has a person committed when he is driving nicely and you suddenly say he wants to rob, but he doesn’t actually go to rob? All crimes are crimes only at the moment they are actually committed, and they have nothing to do with what he was thinking or how he was thinking.
If the pro-democracy candidates respond to the call of Tai Yiu-ting and are prepared to run to overthrow Lam Cheng, it is only when these candidates are elected, enter the Legislative Council, exercise their legal rights as legislators, and vote against the budget unanimously, resulting in the abortion of the budget, at that moment, you can say that they want to subvert the government, and that becomes an issue for discussion. Now not only did the legislators not actually do anything, they were not elected, and even when they ran for office they did not make any statements involving subversion of the government, so where did their crime come from?
If someone says that Li Guihua is going to drive a car to rob, even if Li Guihua really has such an idea, there must be real evidence after he has robbed to determine that he has committed a crime, think about it and not a crime is it? This is common sense in law, Li Guihua as a law enforcement officer, there is no normal human logical thinking ability?
The Chinese Communist Party found such a low level of thinking to do the National Security Law “Police Department, National Security Division, Senior Superintendent”, really insulted the Chinese Communist Party, should consider replacing a person, so as not to lose face.
At a time when the situation of the U.S. presidential election is still unclear, and when the European Union and the Chinese Communist Party have just signed the China-EU investment agreement, the Chinese Communist Party has carried out a big arrest in Hong Kong, based on the right time, in order to liquidate the Hong Kong people, to hurry up and finish it.
Although Biden’s Secretary of State designate has made a few remarks, they are not painful, and are not enough to make up for nothing. The EU is also turning a blind eye because it has just signed the China-EU investment agreement. Only Chris Patten, who has always been concerned about Hong Kong, and some American and Japanese politicians have spoken out, but they are still rather weak.
Xi Jinping has suffered a lot of grievances in the US-China conflict since last year, and the Trump administration has been chasing him so hard that he is almost spitting on his own face and suffering a major blow to his dignity. He has been humiliated by the Americans in front of the whole world, and the Hong Kong people are even moving the earth on the head of the tyrant.
The first is to teach the Hong Kong people a lesson, and the second is to warn the mainland people. Xi Jinping must punish the Hong Kong protesters with a heavy hand in order to establish the prestige of his great dictator. Xi Jinping is also more or less aware of the shortcomings of the U.S. and European countries, knowing that they each have their own problems and calculations, and may not be willing to pay a greater price on the Hong Kong issue, the most likely is to pay lip service, but not to the actual, to play lip service, not much damage.
It must be admitted that Hong Kong does not have such an irreplaceable strategic position for the U.S. and European countries. The U.S. and Europe certainly have enough means to sanction the CCP, but once the face is torn, they themselves will have to pay the price, the question is whether these Western politicians are willing to pay the price for maintaining universal values to stop the expansion of the CCP.
Hong Kong people still need to strengthen themselves and rely on themselves, while continuing to seek the sympathy of the international community. By calling out to the U.S. and Europe and laying a heavy hand on Hong Kong, Xi is challenging the bottom line of U.S. and European politicians to see how far they can tolerate. The biggest risk of such a bottom-line tread is to keep accumulating the anger of the people of the West. Western politicians are certainly the first to act, but the people of Western countries will not have interests to consider, they see universal values being provoked, they will only empathize with them and support the resistance of Hong Kong people.
Public opinion is accumulating, and the more people in the West resent the CCP, the more powerfully they will pressure their governments to impose sanctions on the CCP. It is not that the Western countries do not have enough means to sanction the CCP, but the governments are still waiting and swaying. When public opinion surges, the governments will not be able to take action, and then it will be the time for the world to liquidate the CCP.
The Chinese Communist Party has planted the hatred of Hong Kong people and the righteous anger of people all over the world, and sooner or later, they will reap the evil consequences they have planted.
