January 6, 2021, is the time when the U.S. Congress will certify the results of the electoral votes in each state for the 2020 presidential election, and the day when millions of patriots will support Trump and participate in the “Save the Republic” rally. It was the 23rd day of the 11th month of the Chinese calendar, the day before the “Little Cold” of the Chinese calendar, and the day the President of the United States was inaugurated on January 20th, the day of the “Big Cold” of the Chinese calendar. It was not too cold in Washington, D.C., but the corrupt politicians were willing to disrupt the society and sway the election for their own sesquicentennial power, which made the righteous people all over the world feel deeply chilled!
When I flew to Washington to attend this rally and decide on the trip, I considered several factors from personal to family and society. I felt a wonderful sense of mission, as if I was destined to witness a moment in history, and I was invited by the Chinese American community, which includes many Chinese Christians, to attend the rally and speak live in English to explain the position of Chinese Americans to the mainstream society. The organizers gave the topic of the speech as a reason for Chinese Americans to support Trump. After deciding to make the trip, I booked my flight and hotel well before the price increase, and the hotel was not far behind the White House, about a ten-minute walk.
When I arrived at the rally site that morning, the White House South Lawn and the Washington Monument between the open space, has been crowded, overflowing. Looking at this group of people from the number one economic and military power on earth, all ordinary people, but their resistance, determine where America will go on the fork in the road leading to the future. Some say this is President Trump’s army of a million “hardworking kings” from all over the United States preparing to launch a general attack on the Washington swamp. More people believe that the competition between the two men triggered by this election has been sublimated into a constitutional battle for America, a moral battle for the world, and a battle between good and evil for humanity.
The people around me are from all the states including Hawaii and Alaska, and there are especially many Californians and New Yorkers. They flew in from far away, drove in from near, and the hotels were filled with people supporting Trump, many wearing jackets and hats with the word Trump on them. It was clear that this was a group of people who were worried about the future of America, but they were also confident and had a very strong energy field. People ranged in age from old to young, men and women, young and old, with families in tow, many in wheelchairs and strollers, greeting each other amiably and enjoying themselves as if they were attending a party. After Trump began his speech, people responded enthusiastically, obviously familiar with the facts and background factors of the election fraud, and even more in tune with Trump’s wit and humor. After the rally, huge crowds slowly poured onto Capitol Hill to show their strength and will to the members of Congress who were preparing to certify the results of the electoral votes in each state for the 2020 presidential election.
Since our hotel was nearby, we opted to go back to the hotel to recuperate and go back to Congress after the meal. But after lunch, the news that someone had stormed the floor on Capitol Hill came as a shock. It was hard to believe that something like this could happen, knowing that these calm and optimistic people were practicing their democratic rights in a dignified manner, very different from the gangs that rode the darkness of the night to smash and grab. The purpose of the people rallying and demonstrating is to wake up their own MPs to reject the fraudulent election results in the joint session of the two houses. What is the point of storming the parliamentary floor? Should we tell legislators that these people are thugs and irrational? Why would this be so? Will legislators change their voting intentions because of this? Or will they blame Trump supporters and vote the opposite way?
What people feared happened anyway, a small number of people stormed the council chambers, and there were unfortunate casualties. The chaos also led to a certified recess for a few hours and then a restart. Arriving on Capitol Hill just in time for the recess, the chaotic crowd was not visible. People who suddenly appeared and stormed the floor suddenly disappeared again. All that was left in front of the steps of the Capitol was the same, peaceful people as during the day. When people later learned that those people were released by the police to enter the building, suspicion of course rose abruptly. Still, people couldn’t care less about this little episode, and quickly focused on the ongoing accreditation, and the refusal of the Republican congressman.
The first rejection requested was from the Electoral College of Arizona. The proposal was actually rejected 93-6 in the Senate, and many of the original dozen senators who were prepared to challenge the electoral votes suddenly withdrew their claims. In the House, Arizona’s Electoral College rejection proposal was also rejected, thankfully with 121 Republican House members supporting the rejection.
Georgia’s rejection was rejected because all of the senators who were originally prepared to cosponsor it withdrew! And the reason for the withdrawal? Surprisingly, it was the protester onslaught that just happened this afternoon! That sounds like a valid point, but isn’t it a little too hasty? Who was responsible for the violent attack? No investigation, no prosecution, no one was arrested and convicted, and the mob suddenly disappeared, and this is actually the reason why so many senators withdrew their original intention? The woman senator from Joe, who two days ago in Georgia Dalton, when Trump helped her campaign, in front of tens of thousands of people on the floor, mouthed a promise to challenge the swing state’s electoral votes, she swallowed her promise two days later!
A dozen senators who had vowed to do so suddenly changed their minds because of the actions of a few people who stormed Congress, all in defiance of the sacred pleas of millions of people who had marched from the White House down Pennsylvania Avenue to Capitol Hill? That’s not a reason at all, but more like a pretext!
The last time I was in Washington, D.C., was more than a year ago. When I used to come to Washington, I used to feel a sense of sanctity when I was in front of the beautiful Capitol Hill, looking at the architectural features of the Senate and House of Representatives buildings, or admiring the tall colonnades of the Supreme Court. Today, all of this suddenly lost its original splendor and sanctity, which is very disappointing! With the curfew in Washington that night, all restaurants were closed and takeout could not be delivered, so we had to eat chocolate and peanut energy bars for dinner. This inconvenience was nothing compared to the disappointment of Congress and the Supreme Court. A night to forget.
A friend asked, “Do you think there is any hope? Will Americans be willing to accept this outcome? The answer is that the American people will not accept such a fraudulent result, and the fraudulent officials will not be able to stay in power even if they are in power. Of course there is hope for the American people, because good will triumph over evil and God’s will will be manifested.
Democratic politics, in fact, is the simplest, is to count heads, and one head per person, and one head per person is counted. The trouble comes if some heads are not counted, or if some people count more than one head. Putting aside the flashy political jargon, the most crucial cornerstone of democratic politics is fairness and the absence of fraud and malpractice. Once the fraud is successful, the heads are miscounted, and the fraudsters can get away with it, the edifice of democracy will crumble. During the congressional debates, look at these well-dressed politicians, piling up all sorts of legal terms, changing dazzling logic, using random terms that only parliamentary regulars are familiar with, but not many people are willing to look at the cold facts, the solid evidence. They do not have the heart to see, nor the will to see, they only take into account their own power and interests. At this moment, the hearts of people all over the world, are cold and cold.
The reality of January 6 could mark a reversal of America’s national fortunes from here on out: accelerated changes in the heavens, increased reversals of yin and yang, more rampant evil, and more chills for the righteous people, could all make our world go dark faster. A democratic political system, without the support of a moral bottom line, without the hearts and minds of the good and altruistic, will easily cause politicians to lose their positions once they are blackmailed by the forces of evil with money, beauty and scandals. This political model in human civilization, which actually has a very short history, seems to have come to its end!
