In a bid to prevent the spread of the epidemic, the head of a village in Liaoning province openly threatened on the radio, “Whoever goes out there will be killed!”
The recent pneumonia epidemic in Wuhan, China, touted by the Chinese Communist Party authorities as “an epic in the fight against the epidemic,” has been heating up rapidly, with patients in Dalian, Liaoning Province, reportedly tested positive only 11 times, as well as the “king of viruses” with “1-to-33” transmission. In addition to the “1 to 33” “king of viruses”, Shenyang is now a “1 to 27” super-spreader. Many local communities have been sealed off in various ways, and a few days ago it was even rumored that a village headman had threatened to “kill him if he went out” on the radio, causing an outcry.
Several cities in mainland China have seen a spate of confirmed local cases. In response, Beijing, Shenzhen, Dalian, Zhejiang and other provinces and cities will originally 14 days isolation period, extended to “14 + 7” or even “14 + 7 + 7” isolation monitoring. Dalian Civil Affairs Bureau chief Tang Yi also admitted at a press conference on Jan. 4 that the outbreak was characterized by a “long incubation period, rapid spread and complex situation” and that some cases took 11 nucleic acid tests to show positive results, with some areas still having positive cases in six rounds of testing.
According to mainland media reports, local confirmed cases have been reported in Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Beijing and Hebei, and doctors in Liaoning have warned via WeChat that “the epidemic is really serious”. As the epidemic continues to heat up, a video of a village chief in Liaoning Province shouting on the radio has surfaced on the Internet. The village chief openly threatened, “Our village, I hope this village cadres, get some pickaxes, get some volunteers at each intersection, whoever goes out and kills him!” As a result, the outside world has questioned the Chinese Communist Party’s official concealment of the real situation of the local epidemic.
Recently, Dalian and Shenyang have been experiencing local infections, and all of them are so-called “super-spreaders”. Officials in Liaoning province reported on March 3 that a “super-spreader” had been found there, first infecting 11 people through family gatherings and then coming into contact with neighbors in the community, resulting in 44 related infections. Another case, surnamed Yin, is located in Shenyang, which also caused at least 21 people to be diagnosed locally.
The authorities have upgraded the way they seal off neighborhoods and buildings. In addition to using simple iron and wooden boards to prevent people from entering and leaving, they are now using knife-throwing iron and steel plates. If people try to leave the control area, they will be punished or even detained.
For example, after the Changjiang Farmers Market in Huanggu District, Shenyang, was closed on January 4 due to an epidemic, a woman tried to leave the control area and was chased by the police, who roughly threw the woman to the ground while forcibly dragging her to the ground, during which the police said, “Don’t go, you’re overturning the sky!” The woman was so scared that she sat on the ground and cried, and the police threatened to say, “What are you crying for, you will be taken away you’ll feel better. Hurry up and go on the end of the matter.”
The last day of 2020, Shenyang City suddenly ordered the city’s closed management without warning, while the implementation of a comprehensive closure policy for areas above the risk. Earlier in the day, it was also reported on the Internet that a local community had blocked the intersection of the community with a large iron plate welded with barbed wire, similar to a large “chopping board,” and some netizens exclaimed, “Whoever wants to go over, I’m afraid they will become shredded potatoes.”
In response to the above series of unusual phenomena in China, Taiwan‘s financial expert and veteran media personality Huang Shicong could not help but lament on a political program that Shenyang and Dalian in Liaoning Province are under a death warrant.
